Cant link item anymore
 

Hello

since last fetish update i cant link item in my chat anymore.

Especially troublesome in raid when i have to link loots and tade votes : X

Before i would examine and right click the item icon to link it into the chat.


Have any idea ?

Open a new chat window and try to link an item. Repeat until you find the one that the links are going to, then move something into that window and use it as your 'main' window. Alternatively, you may be able to edit your uisettings xml file to change the window you use to the lowest number clone.

didnt understood the las tpart about edit and "clone" thingy : X

That is an alternative method, ignore it and just do the first part (opening new chat windows and trying to link until you see one that the link goes into).

yes i found the windows where the item link, but when i try use it to rpelace my main windows with raid and guild chan. then i wont link anymore and its back to other windows.


If the editing will allow me to link back to my main windwos then explain more in detail please: ) if possible.

Open your servername_charname_eq2_uisettings.xml file. Do a search for "MainChat." Each time you find that it corresponds to a potential chat window, either one actively on screen or one off screen.

First, look for one called MainChat_clone_0. See if it has any lines that being with <ChatTab underneath it -- I'm willing to bet it doesn't.

If it doesn't, then look for a different MainChat line that has at least one <Chattab line underneath it and change the number after clone_ to 0 and replace the other one (that used to be 0) with the number you just removed.
