Memeory problems - RAM usage
when i am using EQ i find that my memory usage spikes up as far ar 1,8 1.9 amost of my 2 gig ram ...what can I do to lower the memory usage as it really slows my Pc so much that of late i have been so annoyed with EQ that i am on verge of loosing interest using it and considereing trying another game can any one help to suggest a way to fix what is chewing up available ram thank you

to summarize though, many people find that turning off GPU shadows and reducing the Flora settings significantly reduces memory usage. |
Run using lower settings. Also, folks have successfully run EQ2 on only a single gig of RAM, although it likes to eat up to 2 gigs for optimal running. You can also force it into low memory mode by putting the following line in your EQ2.ini:
force_low_mem_mode 1 |
