Log File Not Turning on Correctly
Code:
(1107830868)[Mon Feb 07 19:47:48 2005] It will take about 5 more seconds to prepare your camp.Problem is it was on when I camped... when I logged back in, it thought it was on, but it didn't actually turn it on.... Anyone else having this issue? |
I have. I just created a macro that does /log /log and dropped it in my hotbar. *shrug*
|
The funny thing is, later that night in the middle of the raid the log came back on again after camping out 3 hours earlier.
Code:
(1107831603)[Mon Feb 07 20:00:03 2005] It will take about 10 more seconds to prepare your camp. |
I noticed this too the other day when I was trying to look back over something. It's really annoying, especially since you think its already logging when in fact it isn't.
|
I find this annoying as well. I've also entered the info to a seldom used macro.
Have folks besides me been entering the /bug Desipte turning loggin on with the /log command, logging is not active after signing out and back in. User must enter /log to 'disable' logging, then reenter the command for it to be truly activated? Our discussions can help us, but if it isn't in the bug database, it woill never be paid attention to. Not that this will take much opriority over borked spells/skill and broken content, but it would be nice to have in there. |
In the course of working on the parser for Kosmos' and Laffs' preset panels I noticed there's an entry for logging in the eq2_recent.ini. I haven't tested it, but I'd be willing to bet if you changed it to false and set the file read-only you wouldn't have to disable and then reenable logging at every login, only enable it. It's not an ideal solution, but it's something to try.

It does turn on the log file; unfortunately it is not the log file under server and character name. The file is located at C:\Games\EverQuest II\logs\eq2log.txt
By turning the log off and back on, it creates the proper character log file. |
