Can EQ2MAP's site do this? rss feed of Poi's?

I would love to get a RSS feed of when there are new POI's and such added to the system.

Is this possible at all? Or is there one and I just dont know where it is.. hehe.

To my knowledge the new POI data is not sent by RSS at this time. There is a listing here, but it's not in RSS form.

I believe there are some free services that check pages for changes and can send change notices via RSS. With that said, POIs are added (and sometimes removed) pretty much every day, so I do not know if such a service would be what you are looking for.

I have not done much work with RSS feeds before, so I cannot say how possible or likely it would be to implement for new POIs.

An RSS feed is just an XML file. Would be pretty trivial to add one for that (or anything else) if there is enough interest. I could understand someone might want one for the news but why are newly submitted POIs of interest?

I can see why they would be at expansion launch, but any other time i don't know.

Exactly.

Well, I added 2 feeds anyway, one for the 5 latest news and one for the 30 latest POIs. If those feeds start getting hammered for whatever reason (e.g. someone updating them every other minute as a way to mirror our database for their own site) we will take them down again (the feeds have a preconfigured earliest update interval of once a day).

Any issues or tears of joy let me know. ;)
