Creating a Custome UI element

I have read threw most of the UIBuilder doc, and have a few questions I hope someone can answer.

I want to create a new element that has a data grid in it. Each of these data-grid cells will represent a hot-key from an existing hotbar (I will still use the hot-bars, like normal). I will be setting the foreground tint to match the state of that hot-bar item (Red-out of range, Blue-no power, grayout-not ready).

Any input on how to apply onclick actions and changing the colour of that single cell would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

There's really no way to interact with what's going on with a Hotkey in the UI unfortunately. I'm not even sure if you can decipher which hotbar is which via UI scripting.

Far as I know, only inside the hotbar window itself can you mess with the hotbar. :o

ok, how about this, If I create a data-grid as before, how would I go about ajusting the forground or background opacity based off of a timer (Casting for example)?

As I am already using the standard UI as a base reference, I can not find any examples of a datagrid being used.
