Creating a Custome UI element
I have read threw most of the UIBuilder doc, and have a few questions I hope someone can answer.
I want to create a new element that has a data grid in it. Each of these data-grid cells will represent a hot-key from an existing hotbar (I will still use the hot-bars, like normal). I will be setting the foreground tint to match the state of that hot-bar item (Red-out of range, Blue-no power, grayout-not ready). Any input on how to apply onclick actions and changing the colour of that single cell would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |
There's really no way to interact with what's going on with a Hotkey in the UI unfortunately. I'm not even sure if you can decipher which hotbar is which via UI scripting.
Far as I know, only inside the hotbar window itself can you mess with the hotbar. :o |
ok, how about this, If I create a data-grid as before, how would I go about ajusting the forground or background opacity based off of a timer (Casting for example)?

As I am already using the standard UI as a base reference, I can not find any examples of a datagrid being used.
