i followed instructions on how to install , created a folder without spaces or or special letters but cant extract anything there , access is denied. I never needed permission to do something since its my pc and i can modify everything i want , so it must be eq2 problem. I am running Vista 64 ultimate , any help will be greatly appreciated.

p.s I tried to install eq2 player/group/raid addon .

And what UI/addon would u recommend for a healer , inquisitor in particular?

Run everything (including the zip program) as an admin.

I have admin rights.

I am logged in as admin , i didnt have these problems with wow addons and i am the only one who uses computer.

Could it be Vista problems?

edit by gm9: Stop double and triple posting please. And yes it's obviously Vista UAC or NTFS ACL blocking you.

Doesn't matter that you are logged in as an admin. Programs do not run as an administer unless they try to elevate themself or you choose to do so. (In Vista, I'm talking). The Program Files directory is restricted, meaning only programs you choose to run as an admin can edit there, so right click and use 'run as an administrator' when opening the file.

Vista is horrible for installing anything. Everytime I start Winamp, I am asked by user account control if I want to run the program. I finally turned off uac last week. Never needed that much strictness before in xp, so dont need it now.

Turn off uac at your own peril but that problem will never happen again.
