Tradeskill num keys won't work (always)

When crafting, I like to use the num keys (i.e. 4,5,6 and 1,2,3) for my speed and durability buffs. With profitUI it doesn't work correctly like it did under the regular eq2 theme. What happens is that when I start a recipe (and not clicking on anything else) the num keys are in movement mode and not in the crafting mode. If I use the mouse and click on one of the icons (speed or durability) and go back to using the num keys, it works. Start a new recipe and again, goes back to movements keys. My friend is having the same issue and as crafter, we love using the num keys but with it losing focus everytime, it gets frustrating.

Oh, I know that I can manually go in and switch the controls, that is just a pain and seems like there should be a better way.

Thanks in advance for any help

Does the recipe list stay shown? There's an issue with how the Tradeskill windows works, removing "button focus" from the tradeskill hotbutton when the window is changed to keep certain parts viewable.

Currently there is no way around this, unless the default window's layout is kept, and the recipe list is not kept visible.

it is a known issue that the reaction arts lose focus when starting in double pane mode.

You can do one of 2 things:
1) start your crafting window in single pane mode
2) simply make 1 click on any reaction art to gain focus and then you can use the num keys until your fingers fall off ;)

I find it best to switch to single pane mode when make more than 1 of any item. (<enter> 123 123 123 456 456 456 ect.. repeat 1um-teen-illlione times) however if I'm making shard armor, I'll leave it in double pane mode and just click on a reaction to gain focus. Unfortunately this is something SOE broke adn UI developers can't fix it.

Well, they problem with going single pane mode is that I get text overlay :(

What I have been doing is just loading the original EQ2 UI (oops, did I say that outloud???) when I am crafting. Hopefully they will fix it soon!

Thanks,
Stoss

Nothing to fix, read the FAQ.

This is also a known issue with a fix. You have to go into window settings and toggle it back and forth then the overlay problem will be gone for good!

Search is your friend, there are several threads regarding that topic alone.
