russian language in fetish nightfall
 

Hello. Was wondering if there is any way to make russian display correctly in fetish ui? Doesnt work in broker window when i mouseover sellers name(shows smth like %1E]$ and stuff like that instaed of russian characters), so cant see sellers full adress. Also same happens when i type something in search and mouseover button find, only pressing enter works fine. Same problemm with click to cure, says it couldnt find player named %K5@T and like that.

I'll look into this a bit more but I don't think EQ2 Script deals well with non-English characters and I have no way to test all the possible languages.

Thx Zonx. Would be great if u find some way to fix this) Really love your ui and using it since i played on US servers and still using on russian servers despite some small troubles.

rather not at all, although the tooltip issue in the OP sounds like it may be a font issue

So if it's an issue with fonts does anyone know how to fix this in fetish ui or at least any ideas pls?

Pretty sure the problem with that specific tooltip is that it is generated via script and not by SOE, thus doesn't really translate.

I'll check to see if SOE is now generating this tooltip in the default, if so I should be able to kill the on I scripted.

This is a very old SONY problem with non-ASCII characters
ClickCure does not work also, if a target name has at least one non-ASCII character.
All settings of variables with non-ASCII characters does not works (Making unusable lot of features in great Fetish market window -- even simple OnHover of Find button corrupts everything)

And even more, if you just select some non-ASCII characters and make Ctrl-C / Ctrl-V you will see some strange symbols instead.

So this looks like it is just bad non-ASCII characters implementation by SONY. This bugs here for at least two years, so I think they just do not fix it.

So, most useful features of Fetish is unavailable on localized servers :(
