I cannot get the EQ2MAP to work
 

I am trying to install the EQ2map mod manually (the auto-installer one isnt an option, .NET isnt going on this PC) and I cannot get it to work. I am following the instructions on how to install it, but it will not show up in game.

I have it set up correct, I think... "customui" folder in the UI directory -> then all the XMLs with an "images" folder with all the DDS files. I have the "eq2.ini" in the main directory also. Is any of this wrong?

If so... can anyone show me step by step how it should look?

I have disabled the new map look in-game as well.

no new map = no EQ2MAP. :rolleyes:

Ah... I had thought the EQ2MAP didnt support the new map look (I havent played EQ2 in about 2 months...).

Ill try again soon and see if all works well.

well... all I get is a blank mini-map and a main map with no POIs or icons now :/

Follow the link to my map map autoupdater in my sign, it is .NET free.

Try open the map option in game and click something disable old map or enable something...

I have to do that so that I can see the new POI from EQ2 map...and I think that every updates of the game will make the map option back to default and you have to do it again...

It should be default to the new map system. The both updaters do check that option and sets it correctly. If you continue to have to change it, I would look in your eq2.ini file and made sure the map is not turned off there.
