This is quite unfinished, and it is my first try at mapping. I haven't really done anything except export the text file into an image.

I saw someone started to do an Anathema one a bit ago.. but I haven't seen any progress on it yet, so I decided to do one today. I hope I finall got the .dds file settings that you asked for this time. (there were two DXT1 options: DXT1 and DXT1(alpha), I picked the first one, with 1 bit alpha selected elsewhere in the window). I'll get th POI's up after this gets uploaded. :nana:

Final Zonerect settings:

-315, -258, 322, 273

(my next pet project will be to figure out how to do Najena's Tower, since it has multiple levels. you just need a height cutoff to transition between the levels, right? There's a huge spiral staircase that connects all the levels, so I figure I can cut that halfway between each level)

It's perfect (the 128KB file size is what you are looking for). :)

Right. I think I explained that fairly well to the end of this thread: http://www.eq2interface.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=12095

This one is live. Thanks. I wasn't sure if you had taken the /locs submitted by Pejhaar (I merged the threads) since you didn't credit him on the image. If you did next time please credit the people that went looking for the /locs, after all that's the important part of the work.

I actually went and did it from my own log file that I made so I could get more of the details.

Ok that's cool.

This map is causing a crash to the client, had to remove it.

gm9 01-27-2009 05:57 PM

Whoops. Fixed! :o

keezyrick 01-27-2009 07:11 PM

No crash now. No map, however.

The Images directory has both the old and new dds files, but the old one has zero length.

The update is currently setting core_mapstyles.xml to zero length. I tried to download all files again after clearing cache and it still does this.

After I edited the original core_mapstyles.xml to remove the 's' from map_exp05.. it works fine.

I'll be damned... I had even tested this to be working, but I broke it again afterwards. Anyway I found the bug on the site causing this. Fixed, again!
