Undock Windows for Secondary Monitor?

Any chance there are possibilities of windows that could be undocked and moved to another monitor? or a secondary interface/program that could recieve location/status info on your character?

Highly unlikely you'll get game windows out of the EQ window.

You can however span 2 monitors with the games screen while in windowed mode. By default this will also split your viewport (annimation area) across both screens.

It MIGHT be possible to mod the viewport so it doesn't fill the window horizontally, allowing you to shove game windows off the annimation area onto a second screen, while still being inside the main EQ window.

I wish.
theres no /veiwport command, and its not moddable as far as anyone knows.. If you strech the game across both monitors it just distorts everything. I asked bobble, we'll see =D

Well you can move the veiwport up and down as noted in this thread.

I'm guessing there's some way to change the viewport's size. Weather we've found it or not is another story :P

Maybe try dorking with these...
cl_screenwidth
cl_screenwidth_windowed

Those change the size of the game window. There's currently no way to have horizontal space where you can place windows but which doesn't display the game.

Tell the dual monitor set up that the monitors are on top of each other. Run the game in windowed mode and use the above trick to move the viewport "down" into the main monitor, and then drag all the windows you want on the 2nd monitor off the top of the main monitor.

But then to move the mouse between the interface pieces and the viewing area, you have to move the mouse up/down instead of left/right.

Not saying it won't work, will just take some getting used to... especially if you switch back... :p
