Ghosting problems.....

having a problem with video display now......for some odd reason my video went way out of whack. any idea what this could be? ill post a few links to screen shots i took of the problem, i guess the best descriptor would be ghosting.

Looks like a graphics problem, not a User Interface problem. ;)

seems that way

but when i first got the game it played fine, now it doesnt want to run right, nothing has changed.

one thing i did find though is if i up my video settings the ghosting goes away, but play is so choppy that its not really bearable.

Blanaced and high performance both give the ghost problem, yet anythign else wont. i dont want to run at very high performance due to everything looking like plastic people......and if i run too high i cant play due to choppiness. any suggestions?

just for info, im running XP, amd xp 2600, nvidia geforce fx5200 asylum 256 mb vid card. no probs running any other games, doom 3 runs great at high or a little choppy at ultra high, WoW runs fine any setting i use, half life 2 is smooth as a babies butt.......yet this wont seem to work.....

OK i figured it out

i figured out it was a problem with the letterboxing, not the ui, for some odd reason when i put the letterbox to minimum but left the gold bar on it it would ghost like that

i turned the gold bar off and wha la! no more ghosting.

sorry for wasting a thread on the boards.........

That happened to me when i turned on antialiasing or ansotropic filtering.. i'll have to try with the letterbox thingy off.

you know.....

i didnt really think of the fact that i did that on my vid card settings. but alas i still fixed it without going back. it was that damn gold bar........
