Total Damage Gadget

I have been out of EQ2 for a over a year. There use to be an addon that you could run that would display the total damage each person in the group did durring a battle. Does it still exsist, and if yes then where can I find it?

Do you mean ACT combat tracker?

I have been trying to access this page all day, but keep getting message that the page does not exist. Is there an alternative page?

Thanks

The link works fine here at this moment, maybe the server had trouble, just try again.

Hmm... this is kinda annoying... Now that I'm home from work I thought I could get through, but still get:

Quote:

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.

What you can try:
Diagnose Connection Problems
I am at the same time browsing this site, facebook and have EQ2 running, so nothing wrong with my connection.

as of 10:42 am 9/14 us est, site loads fine in firefox... idk

cybersmurf 09-14-2008 10:24 AM

Wow... this is incredible... I still cannot access this site. I have now tried MS Explorer, Google Chrome and Firefox.... nada.

Well, before I spend anymore energy on this:
Does this come with an UI-interface or is it a regular parser where you have to set it up and constanly press ctrl+v to parse it to the chat-box?

If it does have an ui, could someone please download and send me the program + documentation? Alternatively use rapidshare.com and post the link (its free).

Thank you very much

Sort of

The program is just a standard parser, but I use the term standard loosely. You can paste the stats to chat via CTRL+V, or you can make a macro to paste it to chat. You can also run eq2 in windowed mode and have a mock UI window docked always on top and you can view it that way (does not work in full screen). Another way is ACT will take control of your web browser and display stats in your browser. The browser method will let you browse previous battles up to a number you specify like 20 battles previous record. You can also use ACT as a web server and give your group/guild mates your IP address or alternatively you can get a free acct at www.no-ip.org and give them that address and they can view the stats from their web browser. If that isn't enough for you, I'm not sure what will be.

This is by far the most advanced parsing program I have seen to date.

Sounds like its worth looking at... so if anyone could please make a .zip with all relevant files it would make me very happy.

Seeing as all the UI-files are xml files shouldn't it be possible to create a new UI that parses the ACT files and display them realtime in EQ2 like HP and Mana?

I'm a Delphi/C++ programmer, but don't have much experience with xml files and their behavour. But shouldn't it be possible to concont some form of this?

ACT includes a web server, you can just display it in the ingame browser (and that's all you can do also, there is no real time file parsing in eq2 UI scripting).

Regarding the website your DNS server is probably broken, you could try adding the site's IP manually to your hosts file (208.79.153.43).

For reasons I cannot yet figure out, my ISP's hosting is recently blocking parts of the EU area.

gm9 09-17-2008 09:26 AM

We are the axis of evil here in "old Europe", didn't they tell you? :p

cybersmurf 09-17-2008 09:37 AM

Ah, that explains it... I couldn't get it to work by using the IP-adress directly either.
Well, hope it gets fixed soon.
