linking to chat from examine doesn't work anymore?
 

I can no longer link an item in chat from its examine window! I've tried shift+left-click, just left-click, right-click, ctrl+click .... I noticed this last update, but thought it might have been a corruption of my files. Now that I've downloaded and installed the GU47 version of FetishNightfall (10), I know that it must be something within the UI. Did SOE change the game so that you can no longer do this? Or is it a bug with FetishNightfall?

I can't delete my thread, but I think (after struggling with the search for a minute) that I found a few posts on a problem similar to this. Will update if I get it figured out.

[edit] ok well.. I deleted my eq2ui_examine.xml file and that didn't help at all. So I decided to do a test and load out the Default UI -- problem solved. I can link to chat items from their examine window. Still not sure why I can't do this with Fetish, anymore.

Just tested it, works fine for me. Just start a chat line /g and left-click the icon in the examine window. There's no need to hold shift, though I tried that and it also works on my end.

When users had reported that issue with my UI it turned out they had moved an (invisible) window over the chat window and therefore could not click the links. I suggest you hit F10 once (to turn on all window backgrounds) and check whether that may be the case for you.
