UI not working.

Alright, I downloaded most of Drumstix42's individual pieces, placed them in my:
Program Files > Sony > Everquest II > UI > customfoldername
(i just extract all of the files as is, right Drums? you have it all set up?)

Then I made the eq2.ini configuration file with the:
"cl_ui_skinname mycustomfoldername
cl_ui_subdir UI/"
(yes, i made sure it was an .ini file and not .ini.txt or .txt)

Going into the station launcher, proceeding into everquest2, and then the game itself -- when i try to 'play' a character, the game errors out.

somewhere I read that I have to set the folder or exe's to run as admin? well, when i click them, go to the compatability tab, then privledges level-- it's grey'd out.

some notes: I have uac disabled. and yes, that means windows vista. the sony/eq2 folder is in both the "program files" and "program files (x86)" folders. i am the original owner of this pc. I have "Hide extensions for known file types." unchecked.

Seems you have things set up correctly.

I think the "setting to run as admin" is to right click the shortcut to Everquest 2, but I'm not sure offhand. It's been a long while since I've used Vista.

Alright, yeah. I saw "Run as Admin" in the rightclick.

However, I am still erroing out.

Here is how my ui folder looks.

Glad you figured it out. Sorry about the out-of-date stuff. Some of it is just... out of date :D
