How do you use EQ2Map and another custom UI piece?

I want to use Tasi's quest journal UI mod along with the EQ2Map UI mod.

EQ2map seems to have made its own eq2.ini file.

How do I use both?

Thanks!

There should be a folder inside your Everquest II/ui/ directory called EQ2Maps or similar. Simply place the Journal xml file in that same directory.

Cool.

In the case of Tasai's UI mod, there is the eq2ui_journals_quest.xml file as well as a deeper journal/ subdirectory. So just mode all of that into the EQ2maps subdirectory of my c:\games\eq2\ui\eq2maps\ ?

Also, is there anything else you need to do to "remove' a UI mod besides just delete the subdirectories and the eq2.ini file? I like knowing how to go back to scratch if need be.

Thanks!

Yes. And removing/changing the eq2.ini is all you need to remove/switch UI mods.

For the first part, you are correct. The journal subdirectory is for all the extra text files that come with that UI mod for the extra journal tabs.

And for uninstalling, yes, just delete the eq2.ini file and to get rid of the files, you would just take out the files/folders in the /ui/customui/ folder (In this case "eq2maps")
