Dev Request: Back to 4 Cures

I have a request... let us have our 4 old cures back.

Before, it was possible to prioritize curing based on what type it was. For example, the Elemental may be annoying but not a big deal, but a noxious may be highly painful and deadly. Now it'd impossible to cure one but not the other, since cure just goes for them.

I'm not asking to completely revert -- I do like the idea of a single cure at some points. What I would like is to have the 4 individual cures back for those that would care to use them.

Now, for a somewhat related rant.

<RANT>
Now, can someone explain to me why the mechanics of the +mitigation on cure AA had to be changed? It was *fine* before and rather useful. I used to use it to buff say the MT on a pull to give them that little bit more mitigation or resist before things got settled down.

But now, that's no more. Now the + mit/resist is near useless if you ask me, since it only works WHEN something is cured. That's like a 90 degree change from what it was before. Was it not working as intended before? If not, why this change that severely devalues the AA?

If it was done to prevent the single cure from being too powerful, how about this compromise: Leave the single Cure as it is now, but add back the 5 individual cures as they were (ie, so that they give the buff even if nothing is actually cured). Solves two problems with one stone, if you ask me.
</RANT>

Whew. That felt kinda good. Devs please don't take offense, you know I love you all, it's just hard for me to understand some of the things you do ;)

I highly agree that instead of the 4 cures being combined and that the combined cure spell should have just been added separately. However, I think this may deal more with game mechanics rather than the UI, and would probably be better discussed on the Sony forums. I know that doesn't sound very promising, hehe, but probably true.

You have understood the new cures wrong..

The single "Cure" will cure 1 of each type of detrimental effect on a player at the same time

If someone has 1 poison, 1 arcane, 2 elemental on them

And you click the "Cure", it will cure 1 of each type at the same time (The poison, the arcane and one of the elementals)

so they will be left with only 1 elemental

click "Cure" again and that last elemental will be cured

I thought that was how it was always supposed to work. When an effect is cured, it increases mit/resist for that effect.

I don't think it was never intended to give extra mit/resist if there was nothing that needed curing. I think they just re-worded the description.

No, they did not just reword it. Previously as it was stated and as it operated, when you *casted* it, it applied the mit/resist buff.

As for the other thing... It doesn't necessarily cure exactly one of each. I've had it cure 2 traumas at once (just like Cure Trauma used to). It's really the change to the warden AAs that bugs me. Heck, I'd be completely satisfied if they made the AAs give essentially the old cure style back.
