question on UI's
 

I know when using the default UI i don't encounter to much lag, but using a custom UI that is a different story. I'm wondering why a custom UI I had to deal with to much lag while the default UI I don't encounter that much lag.

There are people i Know prefer the default over custom because of lag issue's. So if this is the case then why do custom UI's would cause this lag problem.

I know some area's is naturally laggy even with default like terran grasp for some reason.

Back to the topic. Most of the time i would get lag killed with custom and with default I won't.

If your gonna say use the default, I'm gonna say is the default is fine, but don't like the look and feel of the default.

The main factor in custom UIs causing lag is most likely the graphics/artwork/eye candy of the windows. The more artwork involved, the more your GPU has to work to draw it, thus taxing your CPU to process the extra work.

The more (textual) information displayed can also produce lag (which is also caused by the GPU taxing your CPU).

It's mostly the text, the graphics textures do not have much of an impact for most UIs, if at all. There's a performance tips page on my portal (applies to every UI).
