My UIBuilder won't load

The EQ2UIBuilder.exe won't start. I double click and nothing happens. And the XmlDiff.exe says that "A required.DLL file, MSCOREE.DLL, was not found." Anyone know where I can find that dll?

Did you unzip all the files in the UIBUilder.zip to the same directory?

Tarylan 01-21-2005 03:09 PM

How could I not unzip them all into the same folder?

I found where to download the MSCOREE.dll. So the XmlDiff.exe is working. But the EQ2UIBuilder still does nothing.

Run EQ2 and do a full scan. That'll make sure the contents of the EQ2Builder.zip file are correct. Then unzip the contents into one folder, and you're set.

*sigh* My EQ2 patcher has some weird problem. It keeps trying download the patch from 1/8/2005. Tech GeoffK said to get a new patcher. Didn't bother to tell me where I would find this magical thing. According to my patcher everything is up-to-date, except the Everquest2.exe file. Which it reverts back to 1/8/2005.

In the UIBuilder folder, I have:
-Folder BuildFont:
-BuildFont.exe
-BuildFontDBG.exe
-Folder xmlDiff: (which is empty)
-defaults.cfg
-EQ2_UI_Customization.doc
-EQ2UIBuilder.exe
-XmlDiff.exe
-xmldiffpatch.dll

Am I missing something? Or am I just totally inept?

That's the exact contents of my eq2builder.zip.

So then why won't mine run..? :(

Drumstix42 01-21-2005 10:01 PM

What are you running on your computer? Anything "special"? lol

Talyns 01-21-2005 10:04 PM

I don't think UIBuilder runs in Win9x/ME.. So if you are running those that might be the problem..

Tarylan 01-21-2005 10:15 PM

Well, then I guess that would be the problem. Running ME. Why would they do something silly like that?

Drumstix42 01-21-2005 10:32 PM

They didn't put much time in making it and putting it together for everyone. It has a lot of it's "flaws" I guess you could say. It's not like they purposely made it not for other window versions ;)
