Suggestion for EQ2Maps

I haven't ever posted here before but I just had a suggestion if it is at all possible.

I was wondering, for the zones that have more than one level would it be possible to make a button to be able to search up a level to see the POI's on the next level either up or down? That way if you're searching for a POI at the zone in you can head right to it and you'll know exactly which floor it's on.

Again, I'm sure this has been asked before but I just wanted to see if I could get feedback on this and maybe if it hasn't been brought up then it could be a new feature for EQ2Maps...

Looking forward to your responses.

Has this question been asked before?

Development has kind of slowed on eq2map as SOE has a new map system in the works. I agree that would be a nice feature and if some one wants to work on a addon to eq2map for it that would be awesome.

Oh ok so that's why... SoE is trying to take over the map making?

Do you know if they're going to be putting in waypoints? Like the ones on EQ2Maps

SOE maps already have some POIs, just not as many as EQ2MAP, and that will likely stay this way.

On your original suggestion, I assumed this is what Zonx' view any map plugin in Fetish Nightfall already did.

That plugin is eeeeeeeeevil (no offense, Zonx)! :p

That plugin did more harm (bug-wise, not virus-wise, for all you readers not in 'the know') than good when I was actively playing and using it!

There was no bug in it, was just a side effect of the eq2map event system at the time. I would think with the new map changes events the issue wouldn't exist any more.

I have never used the plugin but if the issue was about triggering the correct map when your map changes that should indeed have been addressed by the changes we did to the EQ2MAP event system. In any case I just pointed out Zonx' plugin because it seems to address what the OP asked for - any possible bugs can be fixed if they exist.
