EQ2 Maps not working
 

Hi folks. I've been using your "auto" map updater for a very long time until I got this message a few days ago:

EQ2MAP Updater has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

If you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost


I thought it might be some weird thing so I just left it alone for a few days. Well, it's still not working. So I uninstalled it and reinstalled it this morning and I'm getting the *same* message.

I do not use any custom UIs in EQ2. The only custom thing I use is this map updater.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated :)

Did you install any new programs before it stopped working?

Also, run a virus scan and a spyware scan -- those both can cause programs to stop working.

I once saw one computer in a public high school with so much spamware on it even MSWord would no longer work, hehe.

You probably installed some thing that broke .NET.
If it's not to long ago you can try to use System Restore to set the computer back a few days.

Still getting the same error... I will have the hubby take a look.

Try uninstalling/reinstalling any .NET Framework you have.
