Henchmen and Popup ads
I don't agree with this program popping up ad's in my browser window. I've never encountered anything else from this site doing so.
The author should at least notify people that hes got ad software in the program so that we have the choice not to download it. Even if he programs it for free we shouldn't have to see ads without being given the choice. |
Well this site has advertisements... I would assume they are from this site then as that program loads this site in a window.
If you are getting popup ads from this site please let me know (a picture or what they are advertising or the link the ad is pointing too and what country your in) as we aren't sapose to have them, however some advertisers try to sneak them in. |
All adds are from this site. I do not put adds in EQ2 Henchman or do I get paid for any part of any of the adds you see while using EQ2 Henchman. So I can not notify you of something I do not do.
If you get an add popup in a new browser window then that means a new add site has been added to this site and I have to find it to add it to the list of adds. I'll just make it where you can not follow links from from the main page in EQ2 Henchman at all being people are going to make unfounded accusations. |
Sorry Landin didn't know why I was getting these when loading your program. It did get explained that the ad's are coming from this site. Simply a matter that if I have a browser window open and load your program it ends up poping those ad's into a new browser tab and none when I don't have a browser window up.

The way it is coded ATM is, if a user clicks a link on the Main page of EQ2 Henchman it will open up in a real browser window. So when a new add url is added like add.someadd.com it thinks the user is trying to follow a link and opens it up in a new window. I'm working on a fix ATM but I am running short on time this week so might be a week or two before I get a fix in. |
give this a shot.
Load a browers (IE not sure about firefox) and then load Henchmen and you will get a window opened without even clicking the ad's Thats what made me think there was ad software in there because I hadn't ever seen it act that way before. So if you can prevent it from doing that great :) |
