Serenity UI wont work
 

Okay, Ive been trying for hours now to get this UI to work. I downloaded the Serenity UI and installed it all as per the FAQ. I made the EQ2.ini file, checked, rechecked and checked all the folder names...loaded the EQ2Maps into the UI and ran the game, nothing...every single time. Can anyone help?

I just checked the UI.log file and it had this in it:

Encountered data outside of container tags
Encountered data outside of container tags
Couldn't load eq2ui_listboxrow_template2.xml
Encountered data outside of container tags
Couldn't load .xml


So dont know what that means.

That UI has last been updated 12-21-2005, ie a little eternity ago. The EverQuest II interface is constantly evolving and custom interface pieces sometimes need to be updated to stay compatible.

If you are looking for a complete set, it is pretty imperative to select one that has been updated fairly recently. If you are just looking for specific windows the chances that they still work after a long time are higher (because SOE may not have changed the mechanics of that specific window).
