Nvidia Sli in EQ2?

can u use SLI in everquest 2, since they worked closly with them would make sense.

As I understand the specs of SLI the grafixs load is split by the chipset on motherboard when 2 SLI cards are present so the software has nothing to do with it so yes SLI would work for EQ2 and for that matter any game

My understanding of the new SLI since it doesnt work like voodoo's sli is that a game profile is needed in the driver for it to work and there is currently no profile for Everquest II. Do a search on the EQ2 forums and you'll see some unhappy people.

UPDATE: I just did some searches again and it looks like the Forceware 71.40 Driver will enable SLI for EQ2 now. http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/e...ght=sli#M52369
You can get that beta driver from places like www.guru3d.com

Not at this time...

Check out [H]ardOCP but I believe that while you can play it on a sli system, you will not gain any increase in performance until the drivers have been optimized for EQ2.

Things have changed since this old post. any driver after 71.80 EQ2 will run in SLI. The new 75.90 even have a SLI profile for EQ1.

SLI is great and works well in EQ2 with the above driver versions. Just make sure both your cards have matching bios versions. If they dont you need to contact the manufacture because using nvfash will void the warrenty on your expensive card.
