Dual monitor mod for viewing

I had a short lapse of sanity and ventured over to the Dark Side, yes WOW. Well my wife and I snapped out of it and are back. Thank God. But there is one thing from the mod packages that we would really love to have, it was a rendered view. I don't remember the name of the mod but it allowed those of us with dual monitors to enlarge the windowed screen to the other monitor but pull the game window in. This created a black area that you could have your different icons, ie bags, hotbars, map, etc, and be able to have the game screen completely visible and open. You could change not only the one side but all sides of the game window and still use that area.

Possible? Or impossible?

Please help! :)

Impossible.

If you wanted to you could probably put EQ2 on both screens and use the built in letterboxing to have those 'black areas' at the top and bottom for your hotbars, but they'd be the same thickness for both screens. Also I've never tried putting EQ2 on multiple screens so I can't advise how well (if at all) that works.

multiple screens works fine, I'm running it like that, but if you're already widescreen you don't really want to use the letterbox in addition, trust me. ;)

Well crap. The letterbox kills view area. I was hoping it would compress it. Well if anyone sees this and has any thing else to add please do.

Thanks

I have it stretched to two screens and have some things over there but it is also part of the viewable area. So of course my character is not centered :P I was hoping to stretch the outside box and compress the actual game view so as not to lose anything.
