Chat window question

I believe I read about it one time...but I may be mistaken (and can't seem to find the answer I am looking for). I find that with the chat window sometimes the last few letters/word of what someone has typed is being cut off by the scroll bar. Is there a way to stop this from happening?

One more thing...how do I stop the enter button from accepting loot? I know that is somewhere in all the posts..but again...I can't seem to find it. :(

Thanks for the help.

For your first question...

Replace eq2ui_mainhud_mainchat.xml with the one named "_simple_eq2ui_mainhud_mainchat.xml" or something like that, and I believe that solves that problem, but not 100% sure on that one.

For your second question...

Open up eq2ui_inventory_loot.xml and search for:
IsDefaultButton="true"

There should be two instances of that, one on line 20 and one on line 22. Delete them. Enter will no longer automatically loot.

For the chat window... Open Window Options and set the dropdown to Frame and Title. Now use the opacity sliders to hide the title if you don't want to see it. What this does is set that one window to show the chat input the first time you mouse over it. Generally you'll do this to one chat window you use all the time to type in while leaving the others alone so they don't waste space.

As for the loot window... what lordebon said ;)

For the chat they weren't talking about the chat input line, they were talking about how the scrollbar overlays the text area in the default mainchat, but the "simple" ones doesn't do that as I recall ;)

Hehe...right. Using the simple seems to have fixed it. Thanks for the responses. I love this UI :)
