Dark UI Notifications
 

I re-downloaded the whole Dark UI after erasing it from my computer. Installed it and then it completely disappeared. Tried again and got it working this time but the notifications pop up window will not work at all. So there is no way to update anything. No idea what's going on but would love some help or a direction to go...

Can you clarify what you are talking about with Dark UI Notifications (DarqUI btw). I'll try to help, just not sure what you mean by notifications, that could be any number of things. The Unified app popups, the in game alerts fr something... not clear :)

when you download Darq UI it has two things in the folder
Darq UI Unified.exe and Darq UI Notify.exe
The notify is a pop up when you click on it. It will show you what needs to be updated, quick setup, themes, inventory, chat logs and all the rest of the stuff.
That pop up will not open at all no matter what I do. I even tried running as administrator.

OK i understand. You have it a bit off though. DarqUI_Notify is there to just tell you when you need updates, or as a URL Helper. It is completely separate to DarqUI_Unified.exe. Simply run the DarqUI_Unified.exe app and you will get a UI that comes up that looks like this:



You can setup / install / use the UI from here. If you go under Settings on the left hand side there are 2 options to make the Unified app itself auto check for updates where you can just click install in the app too. That can be done like this:



As far as "notification popup" i'm still not sure what you mean by this. Do you mean that this app won't load:



or do you mean when you right click the program in your system tray it won't show the options? Like below?

Do you recommend the auto-update to be on or is that not all that necessary?

I'd recommend turning it on, especially when new expansions launch you might forget to update and wonder why stuff is broken. Also keeping eq2map updated is a good idea due to the daily updates currently.
