Iconbar and slash commands?
 

is it possible to add a command like "/reload_appearances 1" to the icon bar buttons as a macro? or any other command if used often enough to warrant a macro. I cant seem to get this to work.

Yes, almost anything that can be typed into the chat window can be added to an icon bar button, up to four separate commands per button. Try adding the command without the "/" slash character.
