Dungeon Finder

Smokejumper talks about custom UI's and the new dungeonfinder feature in that thread over at the eq2 forums. Nothing momentus there. I just thought it was interesting that they actually tested it against some of the more popular mods.

I think that's the first time I've ever really see them do that. Kudos to them for communicating to players about possible "UI brokeness". I wonder why mine crashes ;)

Probably eq2ui_mainhud_zonereuse.xml or eq2ui_popup.xml. The other two modified xml files shouldn't cause an issue.

Yeah, they used to be more behind the scenes in contact with the UI authors or posting on this site instead of doing it on the official forums. Although I remember ProfitUI making the official patch notes once, where they actually changed/fixed their game to accomodate the UI, hehe.

I found it more interesting that he said they don't support use of 3rd party UI mods. Maybe he was meaning they don't do user support for 3rd party UI mods but that wasn't how I read it.

Isn't that just the standard phrase they are bound to use? No responsibility for 3rd party stuff?

I took it as standard CYA language myself.

Yeah thats just their standard boilerplate. Anyone that contacts their CS with UI issues will get told to go to the default UI as a first step, basically.
