Loot window error
 

Looks like we've got changes to the loot window. Getting an error trying to loot that the version isn't compatible.

Is he even updating this UI anymore, his last post was on New Years Eve. Didn't get a update when they adding the connection window, which i really didn't mind. But with the new Loot system and G15 support, with both of them not working right we really need a update.

It is alittle soon to tell, and ive been using this UI for over a year and would hate to give it up. But i'm alittle worried with no post from him saying hes atleast working on it:(

Please don't let this great UI die. If you're too busy maybe someone is willing to take it over. If it really is dead, it would be best to remove the 'make a donation' button from the Auto Updater. Hopefully you are just on vacation. I for one made a donation in the past and would be willing to do so again since its been a year and this is by far the best EQ2 UI in existance. But I need to know if you're still making updates, though.

I would gladly pay for his UI. I have supported minimally in the past and will do so again. His UI is the only one that I think is worth the effort. Please don't fafil us now.

Read the fetish posts. I deleted the files mentioned there and it appears to be working (looted a shinny) so I'll see what happens with a chest...

I posted this on another thread. Simple fix, worked for me at least.

Go into your C:\Program Files\Sony\Everquest II\UI\default directory (or wherever you installed it) and copy the "eq2ui_inventory_loot.xml" file to the ThorUI directory (rename the thorui file to .old or something similar)

Restart EQ and have it patch (if it needs to) and you should be good.

You don't have to copy any file from Default to modded directory. Just delete or rename file, and it automatically refers to Default no matter what.

Yes, for the loot window the file "eq2ui_inventory_loot.xml" is one needed to change/remove.

What will see when correct in game is window with Need/Greed options when looting.

All I know is that I followed the suggestion that was posted by phreake22 and now I am a happy camper again. Pun intended.

Still cannot loot shineys
 

OK I deleted the directory thorui and did an update.
I deleted the inventory_loot.xml file.
As a result I can loot chests and get a toot option window in groups and raids but
I still cannot collect shineys! I can target them but not collect them.
I even copied SOE's inventory_loot.xml into the thorui directory even though I knew it made no difference.

Note that the thorui update fails with 18 files to go. It reports an exception in GetAFile for thorui\images\TierIndicator.tga
