eq2 client crashing
 

I installed everything the way it said to named everything right but every time I got to load my toon the client crashes. If i take out the ini file for the interface then it does not crash. I am using vista if thats any help thank in advance

None Of These Interfaces Work I Have Tried About 12 Different Ones And The Same Bull **** Happens Eq2 Cleint Crashes Because Of The Eq2.ini Files That You Have To Either Put In Or Make And It Is Named And Saved Correctly.

I suggest you take a deep breath, sit back, remember your manners, and then come back and post coherently what you are trying to do in a way that the good people here can understand (because currently we can't) and I'm sure someone will help you.

Sounds like you're either corrupting all the different UI's your trying or your eq2.ini is somehow corrupt. What are you using to edit it?

When i try a new one i take all the old stuff out and yes i was using note pad. Sorry for the yelling

Hmm. Post the contents of the eq2.ini you were making, and what program are you using to unzip the files?

I used winzip to unzip Notepad++ to make it and this is what is in the eq2.ini file
cl_ui_skinname PERDV8
cl_ui_subdir UI/

Which modification are you using ?
From what I can tell, if it's Perdition, the last update was in 2007. Might be an issue...

Is there any good ones that you know of. I like like laffs_lite or perdition

SOE keeps changing the UI structure and custom UI authors need to adapt to that. If you take complete sets you have no choice but to take one which is constantly being updated for each GU, otherwise you will run into compatibility problems. So sort them by date. And you will probably like ExtremeUI.

Here is what happens when i load the game after putting extreme interface and all the goodys were they belong

Been trying to get it to work for about 2 hours and still nothing as you can see from the screenshot. I am lost at these point.

I don't see anything "wrong" -- the UI seems to be loading properly, just that maybe the settings for those windows are a bit different and so their placement is rather poor (ie overlapping). Just move them around until you have them where you like them.

Ok but when i look at my screenshot and there screenshot the different

just load the default uisettings Landiin provides and it will look like the screenshot

where do i find that and how do i load it sorry for so many questions

try using /load_uisettings

WOOOOOT just missing a couple panels Missing the panel in the middle were the compuss is any idea how to fix that check out the screenshot

Right click and make the backdrop opacity 100% on mouse over and normal is all you need to do I believe.

I am surprised it still works, its been a while since I've updated it. Raid and group will really need some work soon... grr
