Group Window Background
Hi GM9,
according to the patchnotes from 4 February 2009 you state
Why that change? I liked the black background very much -- since it provided perfect contrast to the click2cure buttons in that window -- and made those buttons more visible. Is there any way to get the black background back again manually without having to exclude the groupwindow in the patcher? PS: Another question: I've added a custom action to the click2cure buttons that /shouts if I cure a curse. I did that in the _ProfitUI_Cures.txt file. Unfortunately the patcher tries to replace that file each time. Of course I just excluded it from beeing patched but now I fear that I might miss some future changes. It would be nice to have a custom user specific file that never gets replaced that just stores such changes. |
The change was necessary because I didn't feel like supporting the two separate vertical/horizontal variants anymore, and thus I needed the opacity sliders for the other options. I'll think about adding the option to a .txt file somewhere.
Regarding your second request no I'll keep that in the file, there are only two things ever to change in the file and that's the cure potion codes and the macros, and the potions are pretty static. Also I always make it clear in the update notes if a default .txt has been edited. One thing I will however separate in the future is the _ProfitUI_MiscSettings.txt file. That one has grown far too large and diversified for my liking... |
Is there a way to show group classes in this new group window?

I have a question as well about the new group window.
Before the update I always used a Vertical variant of the window, but ever since it is now Horizontal for me and I can't figure out how to switch it back to the Vertical. One of my buddies is having the exact opposite problem... So how do you switch between the two??? |

"The old "titlebar" mode, i.e. the class/level text overlay, is now controlled via the frame opacity sliders." |

The new "frame only" mode sets the window to vertical mode The new "none" mode sets the window to horizontal mode (You may need to toggle the modes back on forth once or twice the first time) |
