Anyone working on fix for hotbars always showing the number 2?

For ProfitUI, right-click the edge of the hotbar and go to Window Settings and then change the setting to Frame Only or None. Data for spell cooldowns was removed today so none of the custom cooldown timer mods will work.

A message to this effect has been added to the ProfitUI_CE utility when checking for updates.


Aside from spell tooltips, I'm not getting any cooldowns at all even with the default UI. Hopefully that's temporary.

Default UI, or basically default game has a timer on the hotbars.

in options under User Interface section, go to Spell Icons, and check the Display Numerical Reuse Counter.

that said, it sucks !!!! :(

really hope something can be done

Figured it out -- you need to show at least some keymapping text in Hotkey Options. I would have assumed the timers would turn on/off with the checkbox regardless of keymapping text.

fwiw.

DrumsUI Spell Timer still manage to work. So the data seems to be there, somewhere.
Dragonwulf standalone ST isn't working though, which is funny since it's basically the same thing (at least it results in the same infos being displayed, might work differently)


Edit : Dragunwulf ST works if entering the name of the spell manually in the text file. but not when pulling the hotbar10 spells.
==> looking like the issue post patch is in the hotbar data, not spell themselves

I attached a file that removes the overlay. This means you don't have to change the window settings on your hotkeys. You do still need to go to options and enable spell timers if you want to see the spell timer.

So that's it ?

Considering the game does have a counter, doesn't it means that the info is there somewhere ?

I really hate the default version that they came up with, and was really hoping for a fix for the profit version :(

The game designers have access to all info of course, but they can choose which bits are exposed to UI authors. If you look in the \UI\Default\eq2ui_gamedata.xml file you can see the values we have access to. Hotbar spell info was removed in the 3/30/2021 patch. Maintained spell timers still work because that's a different set of values.

Everything that could possibly be done wrong was done with the default cooldown timers: too small, too much precision, overlaps keymapping text, requires keymapping text to be displayed, can't be customized. According to this thread, the timers will be fixed today. We'll see what they mean by "fixed."

It looks like this is going to be reverted so that everything will work again. /thumbsup to the developers for this decision.
