Rogues against Twitch looters

I'd like to see some form of modification to the rogues ability to disarm a trap, as it stands right now if you're in a group of twitch looters, the only way to attempt to disarm a trap is if you make it your primary objective. Stop fighting, right click in the middle of mobs find the chest if you can click on it, and choose disarm.

What I'd like to see is some option to make disarm the default action on chests with that option, that way at least we have some chance of actually disarming it

Currently, there is no way of doing that.

What you have to remember is that you are disarming traps, so think of this as the the chanllenge.

Communication with group is key.

if we're going to go as far as having a challenge I'd rather have a mini-game then, another option would be to put a group only dialog box in the default ui that would say "this appears to be trapped, are you certain you wouldn't rather wait for your group? yes / no"

Kick ninja looters from the group or set leader only looting.

Well sure, that's always an option, but it seems to me that if ninja looting was the father of lotto, that there could easily be a modification done (If not here then by Sony) to make it more difficult to loot in combat, or some other rogue friendly change.

I'm not complaining, this is more thinking outloud.

Unfortunately, I think its just a matter of behavioral training. I *never* touch any chests above small (which are never trapped) if there is a scout in the group. By default, they are the assigned disarmer/opener by sort of unspoken rule.

It's more of an issue in pick-up groups, but the scouts usually get it after being asked to disarm/open. Or, even just disarming is fine. Woe betide the scout that doesn't disarm boxes ;)
