Anyone found a way to disable the membership upgrade window?
 

Just curious. It gets annoying. My second account doesn't have gold membership because I don't want to pay for both accounts. I think the random popup telling me to upgrade is a very intrusive way to promote it. I think once is enough. I tried to find the XML for the window, even tried to find it's name, but to no avail. My only guess is it's hidden somewhere or hard coded. I hope there is a way to remove it without going gold. The only thing I've been able to to is make the window invisible through window options, but it still gets in the way of clicking things even with click_through checked. I know I could simply keep clicking "Later" but I shouldn't have to.

It's hard coded. It isn't even in the interface engine because it pops open your default browser in your OS.

Now some one could make an application that would basically catch and ignore the call to open up a browser from EverQuest II when you exit.

He's actually talking about the in game pop up window I think. That one is more annoying to me anyway.

I'm referring to the in game pop-up that has the options "Upgrade Now!" and "Later". It don't have anything to do with the browser. It's a UI piece.

Oh sorry my mistake. I thought you were talking about the popup when you exit the game.

I didnt see it anywhere when I did a compare of the UI on patch day so I believe it is hard coded probably for the very reason of not being able to disable it.

Perhaps. I had hopes it could be disabled but it may not be able to. I guess SOE thinks badgering people to pay more cash will yield positive results. heh
