Yeah im having the same problem with the quest helper mines dissappeared it's driving me crackers i can't find the silly thing anywhere ive tried re-installing but it only re-appears temparily, vanishing again after my next login.

Ive had the same trouble with the start button mode but i worked out how to get that back using the /show_window journals.inventory command.

i asume there is something like this for the other window too but i can't work out what the command would be.

any help would be great

Hi Val love this version of Fetish the most but have a few questions.

I lose my command center when I log in and out and just was wondering if there was a stats bar or is that being buggy with your LU20. Let me know how I can fix it myself or just open the missing screens.

I have installed this UI and love it.

Same as some of the other guys who posted the only issue i have is that the command centre is not showing up when I log some of my toons and the only way to get it up is to log out and delete the toons settings.ini file. If I do an ingame window reset it does not show up so it is as if it is hidden.

Any suggestions as to how I can get it to show up without doing any of the above? Most of my toons are high level so rearranging the windows over and over is a bit of an annoyance.

OK apologies, I skimmed the info on the download page and missed this

*cries* I lost my EQ start button! I'm lost without it since I updated to your LU20 compatible mod :( :(

Your interface is the best, I LOVE it...but *sniffs* I need my EQstart button, I don't remember all the silly letters to push for whatever <---lazy

I've tried CTRL + ~ and all variations... no luck...nothing :( the ? icon is in its place, and it opens up the info center.

*Edited* I found the problem I think...I was running the monitor at 1280 x 1024 and the start button was not visible. At a lower setting, like 1280 x 768, or 1024 x 768, the button is visible.

next the questions
1 how do i edit the mail insert text files (i can't find the folder mentioned in the readme file)
2 my quest helper is missing :( (I'd really appreciate help with this one)
3 my EQ2 button is not on the startbutton window as per the screenshots, it is separate, is this normal or did i mess something up? where it should be on the startbutton window is a questionmark that opens up the infocenter

Help with these 3 items would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance :)

Love this Ui first off. Has so many things from others that I indeed love.
I can't get the quest helper window to work though. I click the toggle on the command center for it and the system just bongs at me saying that window can't be hidden. alt+~ doesnt do anything for it either. What is the trick to getting my quest helper back? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Go into EQ2 Options, under user interface, game windows... uncheck the Keep Main HUD windows Visible selection. Then do ALT + ~ and/or Alt + J a couple times. That should solve all the disappearing startbutton, quest helper, and command center problems =]

Ok I ran the EQ2Maps Updater and discovered they are pushing down a version of the eq2ui_mainhud_map.xml that completely disables all plugins and reskinning. Until this problem is resolved do the following...

1) Open the EQ2Maps Updater.
2) Click the "Options" button
3) Check the "Ask to overwrite MainHud.Map"
4) Close the EQ2Maps Upadter
5) Open your latest Fetish Maps or Complete set mod and drag a copy of eq2ui_mainhud_map.xml to your Custom UI directory. When asked if you wish to replace the file, click "OK".

When running the EQ2Maps Updater in the future, if prompted to replace MainHud.Map say no.

Hi i copied server_1280x1024_eq2_uisettings to \everquest II folder and changed the name, but it looks nothing like your screenshot. I followed install instructions very well too. Not sure what went wrong. Even tried the the 1600x1200 layout. Any idea what happened? Could those files be out-of-date?

Hello i aksed a few days about how to change the names and severs so that i could just log straight into my next character without having to come all the way back out to start up screen and was given the answer.I followed the advice,found the file and edited it replacing character with my name and server with my servers name.Now the problem is if you only add 4 chars or less it works fine...but when i add more than 4 it crashed eq completely and the eq2 button with pger on it disappears.Is there a fix for this as i really like to be able to change to all my chars this way not just 4 of them

My login screen is off-center, then I cant create characters at the character select screen. Only way to change which char I am gonna play before I am in game (besides launchpad) is by using the arrow keys to select different toons.

It wont look identical to the screenshot, you'll need to move windows around. Each persons individual setup will always be diff in that way.

I have checked with several people on this issue. There doesnt seem to be any problem with the xml at all. All you positive you are editing it properly? Even a slight deviance in the editing can have drastic effects.

Yes i am sure i did it correctly as i took it out and tried 5 times.Every time i got the same result.Four chars worked fine..more than this my whole game crashed and the eq2 button is missing things.I really don't understand why this would only happen to me..To be 100percent sure i will try again today and see what happens.

questions about UI.
 

um on one of my characters the little box showing my exp and tradeskill exp is there, but on the other it is not. What is the button combo to get it back?

one more question. Will the DoF expansion mess up the UI, or am I not likely to recieve any problems? I allready installed KoS if that matters.

I play on 1440x900 now everything works 100%, but the "main hud window"
The one with all the nice stuffs on, like afk and sprint and and... that one is on an bad place for me and when i move it and relog it is gone :(...please help! :(

Ok... temp work-around for ya...

Go to your Eliteui folder and remove the following files...

eq2ui_inventory_inventory.xml
eq2ui_mainhud_guild.xml
eq2ui_mainhud_startbutton.xml

This will:
- Reset the guild window to the updated LU27 default screen.
- Remove the control center and [EQ2] button quick change graphisc buttons (which is causing the crash)

If you log in and you do not see your [EQ2] button... Do ALT ~ to bring it out from hiding.

A full update is in the works, please be patient...

Thanks again for the temp fix, very needed :) My windows were jumbled even when I tried to go with defaults and deleted my ui settings on that char.. Tried to fix it myself going with a diff UI, but trust me huge mistake! I'm glad we got the temp fix for LU27 cause I was dreading running default UI after this very nicely setup UI.. Keep up the great work Valesai.
