Wiki link access

You told me (in another thread) :
"EQII Wikia was migrated to fandom.com by the site owners, but their new site is not compatible with the in-game browser. Fandom has refused to support the older EQII browser, and unfortunately custom UI authors are not able to change it."

OK I can understand that, actually, clicking on the "wikia" button opens the browser display the link (in the url bar) and doesn't do anything more, so we have to select the link , copy it an dthen paste it (in our own browser) before closing those in darqUI pfff! lot of work :)

Why not simply copy the link when clicking on "wikia" button and let us directly paste it in our own browser without having to select + copy + close the darqUI browser window ?

I don't know of a way to get a string directly from the game onto the Windows Clipboard, so any solution is going to involve some form of manual copy-and-paste. A while back I wrote a little program that watches the log file for a special line containing the URL and opens the external browser, but it was a lot of hassle for very little gain. Maybe I should look again at it.

Even though it's awkward, the most efficient method I have found is:

Click on the URL in the in-game browser
[Ctrl] + A (highlights the entire line)
[Ctrl] + C (copy to clipboard)
[Ctrl] + V (paste into external browser)

.

That's what I do in fact (must add a click to close the browser :) )!NB : The searched link must be 'inside' the wikia button (html format or am I missing something , a regexp on the html message could extract the desired url ...) (in fact I don't know anything about the format of this button so pardon me if I am telling about horrible non geek things  )

PS : this is not a critic act I can really continue with those Ctrl + any keys combinations !!
