Hi all.

Were there any Fetish regulars in Velious and did it have much impact on the UI?

Just curious as to whether or not we'll need to revert for a few.

I can tell you the crafting window will not work until updated.

There are changes to the UI system that aren't available to Fetish users until they get updates.

Tagging
Search for Any Item (/finditem is still available from the chat window as a command)
Pet Threat and Detriments
Journal | Collection AutoAdd
Calendar
certain Guild Event icons were added.

So, in short, your UI should work except for maybe the Tradeskill window.

Thank you for the prompt and helpful reply. Are there aspects of the UI that can be copied over to create a "cut and shut" UI, pending any update?

Fetish is a thing of beauty and the thought of returning to the default UI wholesale is making me feel a little queazy!

While the Quest window will work you will not be able to add any collection items until it is updated.

If you delete the eq2ui_tradeskills.xml and eq2ui_journals_quest.xml files you can revert back to the default ones until Zonx gets a chance to release an update.

I hope too a fetish update comes for velious :)

I won't be throwing the whole thing out and reverting to the default myself. I plan on finding the specific files that need to be reverted back to the default and deleting them. I've already patched and seen which files have changed and will be going through to see what needs zapped once the servers are back up.

@Keezyrick: Do you plan on doing a patch that will hook us up until Zonx does the next release? If not, I'll probably post another band-aid for folks that just wanna delete the broken/outdated files once I figure out what they are.

This should work for anyone using Fetish UI although some windows may not look entirely the same or have all the same features. I don't use the standard FetishNightFall and haven't for years.

It should give you everything DoV has to offer until Zonx posts an official update.

WARNING: Please make a backup, I have not tested any of this yet on the LIVE server. It did all work during beta.

Just unzip the files into the FetishNightFall folder.

FYI, I hope to have an update out in the next 24hrs. Have yet to get onto live servers to test anything but overall the changes look to be pretty minor.

My sentiments exactly.

In the meantime I tried deleting the files on one box and using keezyrick's solution on the other. I think it's my set-up rather than kr's files but the deleting solution worked better (they both worked, but for some reason the deletion option retained proper formatting whilst the replacement windows spaced the recipes out on the tradeskill window).

Yea, the first attempt I did had a formatting issue.

If you download the files again from the link and try again, it will be fixed along with some other minor fixes.

btw - there seems to be an issue with the performance buttons, pressing extreme view crashes my client.

When comes the new update from Fetish ?

There is a patch that you can download that will get you by till Zonx has a chance to update it

I use it but cant craft says me need to update my UI and they map dont works i have not the blue blubrs for quest updates.

To get the tradeskill window working delete or rename the following file in your FetishNightfall folder:

eq2ui_tradeskills.xml

To get the calendar to work, delete or rename the following file in your FetishNightfall folder:

eq2ui_community.xml

If you get the map to work, let me know what ya did. I see the map but there's nothing on it, not even the standard things that SOE usually puts on them.

Note: Occasionally the map image for the current zone in the large Map window wont load automatically. When this happens, use the menus to select any other map, then change back to "Current Zone".

This problem isn't specific to Fetish.

eq2maps haven't updated yet for the DoV zones.

They are working on it and you should be able to download the maps and POIs soon.

Unfortunately none of the guys able to make the required changed to EQ2Maps were in beta so they could not do anything in advance.

Uhm... yah SOE really dropped the ball this time on beta invites for UI authors, despite my speaking to Rothgar about it. Drumstixx and I didn't get our invites until days b4 launch.

That's pretty rubbish, bearing in mind how dependent EQ2 is on its community for its unique feel. :(

Yeah their Beta invite process this year was strange.

Part of the problem was also that the maps weren't really finalized until the very end. I don't think the GD and EW maps changed very much over time, but some of the other maps weren't even done at the end of Beta, so we pretty much had to wait for live for them to go up.

They should be up soon though. Hopefully today for the GD and EW ones at minimum.

I've found a little bug with heritage quest chat boxes. In default UI there are gold/green in Fetish the boxes are black now. So you can't read the answers.

There is a image file with three new buttons. You can look in your images folder inside the FetishUI for the file called "commonelements.dds" and delete that in order for the new buttons to show/work until Zonx has time to edit that image file. By doing this though, it may change some colors as Zonx has skinned that image file to match with the rest of Fetish.
