Update? Or can anyone tell me what UI files have changed so Fetish will work until an update comes out?

An update will be posted in the next 24 hrs or less.

Virtually all of the tweaks and additions are done. I'm finishing up one new addition and just need time to test everything on the live servers.

However with that said.....
is there a way we can get the short list of files that we can revert to default in the mean time.

DISCLAIMER: THIS MIGHT COMPLETELY FUBAR YOUR GAME AND MAKE YOU WAIT UNTIL ZONX COMES OUT WITH AN UPDATE OR REVERT BACK TO THE DEFAULT UI. TRY THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Here's what I usually do when an update comes out and Zonx hasn't pushed a new version (he's usually pretty quick btw and glad to see he's on top of this one as usual). Keep in mind, I'm writing this from work by memory and have no way of verifying filenames, etc.:

Go to the UI/Default folder and sort by date. The ones with the newer dates are the ones that changed. You can usually tell what they are by the name. If it's a window that you need fixed before the update, go to the UI/FetishNightfall directory and delete the file with the same name. The game should then revert back to the one in the default folder.

For the NEW windows, you need to edit the (someone correct me if this is wrong) eq2ui_mainhud.xml file in the UI/FetishNightfall folder. First, go to the UI/Default folder and find the file that looks like the name of the window you're trying to add (remember to sort by date to make it easier). Once you have the file name, go to the UI/FetishNightfall folder and, using NOTEPAD (DO NOT use something like word and risk screwing up the format) edit the eq2ui_mainhud.xml file (or whatever this file is called, hopefully someone will verify or correct me soon after I post this). In the file, there will be lines referencing a bunch of different other files. Copy one of those lines and paste it in right below the line you copied. Edit the newly copied line and replace the file name with the one you want to add.

This usually works with the simple ones. Sometimes it gets a bit tougher when you have to start dealing with popup windows and such. I would say that I'd post what I do tonight to fix it but since Zonx is going to have an update for us so soon, not much point. Just try the steps above for the windows you cant live without until Zonx releases his latest masterpiece. :)

K. Made it home and did what I said I was gonna do above. Please refer to my disclaimer above before you do this but it worked for me:

Go to the UI/FetishNightfall folder and delete these two files:

eq2ui_mainhud_groupmembers.xml
eq2ui_mainhud_raid.xml

Edit the eq2ui_mainhud.xml file and add this line where it looks like it would fit alphabetically:

<include>eq2ui_mainhud_threat.xml</include>

That fixed it for me. Your mileage may vary. :)

I'm just hoping he pushes it out before raids today. Raiding w/o a group window last night and a blank threat meter was pretty lame ;(

Use the above work around if there is no release by raid time. Will get your group/raid windows back to default and your threat meter will work well enough.

I posted files for group and raid that would work fine for GU51 update here days ago.

I tried it, the click to cures don't work, and i couldn't tell how much money i had on me and i'm on a pvp server :(

anywho, mr zonx, when/if you have time, we will all be waiting, patiently, i might add, and should you need help in the future to keep your amazing creation going, please let me know how i may assist, i've been dabbling in all things php, mysql, and html as of late, wouldn't mind trying my hand to help you out. :)

Sorry. I had tested this with a Fighter, so I didn't try the clickcures. I had reference that wasn't deep enough.

above file will fix group and raid windows. However, my threat meter is still FUBAR. Go Go Zonx:nana:

If you're running Vista, it might be a bit tougher to edit the file. Was a PITA for me. I ended up having to edit eq2ui_mainhud.xml, save it to the Documents folder, exit notepad, then copy the edited version over to the UI/FetishNightfall folder and overwrite the existing one.

(looks at watch) Zonx, you realize you're toying with our emotions, right? :)

In all seriousness, fantastic job on Fetish Zonx. We all really do appreciate the work you do to get this fantastic UI patched each time they come out with an update. You keep surprising us with your innovations and make our game play much more enjoyable because of it.

P.S. I imagine the servers being rebooted for the 3rd time today isn't helping things either. :(

I run XP pro. I did not do the list chek posted. I just DL the file and extracted it to fetish. I dont need threat meter im a troub that gets agro like never. with that said is their a way to do J Cap in raid window?
