The Legacy of Kithicor - NightElf eq2
*note - You should change your UI Settings to display health bars as "red" instead of smooth, in order to see your health numbers over the bar, more clearly.
THIS EMULATED UI IS SET FOR A RESOLUTION OF 1280X1024 ONLY **** March 12th 2005 Update - Redesign of the Target Window, making the V1 Target easier to use (see screenshot) - Ammo Icon Window by Sunthas - Up to date with the March 10 patch - Added self health/mana to the Group Window (as requested by several healers) You made it one of the top downloaded, featured, UI's for EQ1 Now available for EverQuest 2. The Night Elf UI, emulates the Warcraft 3 graphical Interface. Visually pleasing, Game Functional. Extract all files into your primary EQ2 directory, make sure to use folder info to set up the subdirectories. the two ini files goes in your primary eq2 directory rename: "antonia bayle_yourname_eq2_uisettings.ini" replacing 'antonia bayle' with your server name.. and 'yourname' with your character name... there is already a file with this name in your eq2 directory.. you could copy and paste the file name to make it easier. If for whatever reason, the UI does not automatically set your windows up in their correct positions, refer to the 1st screenshot with my layout design. I hope you enjoy this UI as much as I do, and as much as you did in EQ1. HAIL KITHICOR! Jethal Silverwing Guild Leader: the Legacy of Kithicor Antonia Bayle Server http://eq2.kithicor.org/ |

Ok can someone help me out plz... I don't know much about downloading or installing a ui with eq2. I followed the directions on creating a new file in the UI folder naming it what I wanted and unzipped all the files there making sure there was no folder within the folder, and put the 2 ini files in the eq directory. I also deleted my old server.name.eq2.ini file but when I try to load up eq2 it shows some of the windows, not all of them and I don't have any of the borders. Please help I really want to install this :P

Use winzip
Unzip my file into the EverQuestII directory, make sure to "use folder info" so the sub-directories are extracted correctly.. EverQuestII/ (the ini files) EverQuestII/UI/kithicor/ (all the xml files) EverQuestII/UI/kithicor/images/ (the image .dds files) Quote:

Problems
I downloaded this UI post Feb17th patch. Almost everything appers to be where it is supposed to be except the following:
I have no leafy borders at all, I cannot resize or move any windows, and hotkeys only display the first 5 spells per bar and am unable to expand them to show all 10. I have no clock. I have no personal space ( personal stats window left side) and no image/pic on right side. Con bar is not the new con graphic... PLs help me fix this. I am quite unskilled with comps so if you have a fix pls make it as plain english as possible. Nogia Najena |
right-click on the hotkeys and go to options.. display the frame and resize the window to fit... if that doesn't work, go into your EverQuestII/ui/kithicor directory and delete the Mainhud_hotkey file, that will give you the default UI hotkey windows.

200+ downloads.. only a few peopel with issues.. out of curiosity, is being in a non-english format causing a problem?
|
:)
Not sure, but I still couldn't get it to work on my computer even after making sure everything was where it was supposed to be. Back to default... YAY!! :P

My target window always show GROUP. Is this a UI bug or and SOE bug?

updated the beginning thread for the update i just uploaded

OK - final release uploaded.. man, i gotta learn how to Beta these things.
Had to fix a few redundant features that were brought to my attention, and at the same time I worked up a NEW target window (v1) with myown con-system graphics.. this window works with both v1 and original targeting systems. Hope you like and I promise.. NO MORE UPDATES unless a patch warrents it. |
I like the interface, but there isn't enough room for maintained spells in the leafy bar above the chat window... As a druid, I have it half full just with my 12-hour duration buffs. After casting my 15-minute buffs on the tank in the group, I only have enough room to see 2 maintained spells, which just isn't enough when I need to keep Weakness, Ensnare, Cold Snap on the mob and watch regens tick down on the tank and anyone else who happens to draw agro. How about making those icons smaller to allow for more of them?

I was thinking about reducing the size of those icons for the next update.. i'll make sure to do it.

hmmm.. I'm lookin at the maintained spell window.. and you're only allowed 12 icons, and according to my design.. there should be enough room for 13

When you do another update can you fix the word Experiance to Experience?
Great Mod...im currently using it. |
Hate to even ask, but is there a command to bring up the ammo window? I reloaded this UI from scratch, and tried to find how the original ammo window worked, but it seems to be tied into the clock. Whereas your clock is displayed elsewhere. I just dont want to break the UI with any changes.

it's actually tied to the Maintained window |
hmmm, ok thx for the fast reply. Still not appearing, but I'll re download and reinstall the maintained xml.

one of the best

Awesome UI - beautiful.
Just one question - I created 2 new chat windows (1 for tells, 1 for guild) and when I log, they are gone. I tried several times, I tried making my settings file read only before logging, tried without... maybe there is something that says in this UI please show only 3 chat windows. If such is the case, where can I change that? Thanks, Lani |
