EQ2Interface - INFO: Maps don't show / updater runs fine

Just thought I'd put this up to help anyone else that had this problem.

I run 3 machines and 3 accounts , all run EQ2's regular UI.
I was told about these maps and DL'd them on all 3 machines. (I love them BTW, great work!!) On 2 of the machines the updater and maps work flawlessly. However on box #3 it would never show the new maps, only the original eq2 maps. I deleted the eq2map folder , checked the ini files , re-downloaded the map interface , deleted and reinstalled .net ..nothing worked.

What I found:
Before game launch I had pre-ordered and recieved the char creation software.
This was a pre-order only thing that was available to station members, it only allowed character creation and is how you got your free J-boots thing.

This software remained on machine 3 only and somehow intermingled with the main program. If you go to add/remove programs you would see it as character creation tool ..yet it has exactly the same file size as the main program. 4+ gigs!

Anyhow ... remove it with the add/remove programs (select remove all) ..then run eq2 and let it patch and replace the missing files.

Maps now work :)))))

Just posting in hopes I can save someone else the headaches .
