Problems getting Inkscape to open mymap.svg
1 Attachment(s)
For some reason, I can transform none of the text logs I generate into the svg files. I've installed Activeperl, mapper.xml, and Inkscape. Inkscape seems to be working ok, the application opens up but gives me the following error message:
Failed to load the requested file C:\Documents and Settings\eddie\My Documents\mapper\mymap.svg I tried installing mapper2 but get the same results. Perhaps someone could try to render the attached tet file into a .svg and advise if I am at least getting the log file built correctly? If so it would help me by confirming I am using the other apps incorrectly. Cheers, -Tosub |

log file looks fine, attached is a .svg generated from Landiin's beta MapMaker tool. I'm not familiar with the other tools but as far as I understand you'll want to use mapper2.pl, not mapper.xml.

Thanks
Thanks for the confirmation that I was at least creating suiatable /loc logs. I am able to view your posted svg file, so I know I've got INkscape working normally also.
I will investigate my use of the mapper and perl applications to see why I can't seem to transform from .txt to .svg Cheers, -Tosub |
