Icon Bar Export/Import
 

How about the ability to export/import the Icon Bar individually instead of tying it to the hotbars. For instance I use my Icon Bar for Ascension spells, it would be nice to just export each configuration and import on demand. Another option would be to create a new bar specifically for Ascension spells that would change based on the desired Ascension class.

A dedicated Ascension bar was tried exhaustively a while back, and it was concluded that without cooldown timers it was not viable. In talking with players about their Ascension spells, it seems like a very common choice is to put Ascension spells on the Icon Bar.

It may seem counter-intuitive, but the better use for the Icon Bar is to put regular self-buffs and other apply-once buffs onto it, since cooldown timers are not needed for those spell types. This should free up at least one "real" hotbar, with cooldown timers, for your Ascension spells.

Importing and exporting hotbars according to which Ascension class you are playing is very simple with DarqUI. You can save a Geomancer set, an Elementalist set, etc., and switch between them instantly using the Hotbars page of the Window Manager. Everything can be done in-game without involving the DarqUI Utility.
