SOE Login Issues - 12-Dec-2006
 

Hi, folks - Starting a new thread to call attention. Mods, hope you don't mind.

Just checked with ops, and we have an internet issue that's being investigated/worked on right now. Sorry that I don't have more info for you. Called from home and only got a brief report.

Essentially, anything that requires logging in (forums, games, etc) isn't talking right now.

Obviously, it's the sole priority at the moment.

Yes, thank you and it's much appreciated that you found the time to break away to alert your customers as to the problem :) I think it's great that you recognize the 3rd party sites and distribute the information there as you did.

I am also having the same problem... not being able to log in. Thanks so much for the update, as we are anxiously awaiting to play. It's a day off and we really wanted to play! lol

If their having trouble with their login services which he did include forums in the post I would think it would be kinda difficult for them to do that as well hints the post here.

I'm one of the few still logged into the official forums and reposted it there (in tech support and community news, should be enough to get attention).

I can log into the forums and there is a thread about this already from players, it's the eq2players and game that can't be logged into, the forums are fine so far.

I cant login to the forums no can I post it wont connect to their secure server for some reason... so maybe thats related>?

If you were already logged in your browser still has the necessary cookie. If you log out now you won't be able to get back in - and there are only 45 people left logged in.

Maybe because I have been logged in for a while, same with game I had one account on the laptop just fine but couldn't connect with this PC's account, so I rebooted my connection and have been out of the game since, but did get back in to the forums fine, maybe they were the last domino to fall =/

I guess they wanted to feel like WoW. Taking their servers down on tuesday.

I can log in and everthing on game, but i can't get into the game. When i try to enter on my Fae it says i dont have EoF registered on my account. this sux.
I just hope they didn't fk^ my Fae.. OMg i'm going to be mad!

Posting because I do not want to be a coastal crab anymore.


Also I am able to ping the site eq2players.station.sony.com and get a response so traffic is flowing back and forth.

WHOA cowboy, hold your horses, it's a problem they are working on, even if you get to char select its bound to have erroneous info there because the system is having trouble, no need to get uptight about stuff unless you see them say its all fixed and you still have issues....

Until then relax, take a deep breath, in and out, in and out... Thats better now =)

Thanks for the update. I've been worried my ISP had botched something when I couldn't log on to either EQ2 or even EQ2Players.com.

I'll just try again tomorrow. :)

Whenever I try to log in it just says the application timed out

I was in for about 5 minutes tried to zone and crashed ... back to square 1

Forums at SOE getting cooked also cant sign in I get timed out for password in under 5 seconds but forums can still be viewed. I hope they have our Toon backed up.

I was able to get in-game for a bit. However, my AA XP was borked, and my chat channels flared and died after just two minutes. A friend said he was unable to go to Kingdom of Sky. Wondering if they're not related somehow.

Oh well, time to vacuum and get the dishes done. :)

I finally got in about 1:25 EST. Can not sone thru the Fay Portal made it to Qeynos Habour can not zone to Maj'dul both say I dont have the expansion. All of my AAEXP is gone. Didnt have much but if i had 90% or more I'd be major bummed. No clue whats going on these are just my observastions. I'm sure this dosen't help . Rizick

Maybe SOE upgraded to IE7...

Just got in, anything dealing with the expansions are busted, it appears. Chat channels are hosed, AA XP is gone, can't log onto my zerker in Steamfont, can't log onto the wizard in Maj'Dul. *sigh*

was also affecting EQ1 earlier this morning

far as I noticed earlier it was
EQ1, EQ2 and anything that hit secure.station.sony.com

Login access has been down since 10am EST (7am PST), going on 3.5 hrs now.

I figured it was an unannounced server patch like they usually do weekdays at 10am EST.


I feel naked not having access even though I have other things to work on.

Kudoes and a big thank you for taking time to go this way and let us all know~ I was able to finally get on and stay for a short while but like everyone knows already probably, Guild chat is down-I heard problems with Bank and Mail were going on. . .I used my Call of Kelethin and went to Character Select but couldnt get back on.

Why, oh WHY do these things always happen on my day off. The house is empty (No "entertaining" my wife) and there's nothing on TV... guess I just cruise the messageboards until something gets fixed...

What's weird is I'm hearing from people in-game that they can access their AA and what not, but the majority seem to have problems with it. *shrug*
