hey, I see my 1600 by 1200 ui settings in the bunch! (never thought i'd have something for that hehe). anyways, something i just thought of was that you might want to add the resolution to it as people may not know what resolution it is. if needed i can re-name it for ya and pop it up here. agian wow... thanks =)
second: has the tool tips issue been dealt with? I loaded the one you posted and i still don't get a description in the tool tip window just the icon(s) Third: is the extra target window in the container directory (with the ini files) the one you modded for me to make sure it stays out full? =) Thanks for your hard work at this, you ROCK! hot key spell names
I am having this problem also? I downloaded the "hotkey with spell names 1280 x 1024" and extracted that into my perdv8 folder. I don't have any names showing and when I move the mouse over the hot key it brings up the symbols and various dots, which are different on each spell. Not sure if I missed the fix for this or I didn't follow the directions correctly.

I remember that target window and it should be still in there as I havent touched any of that stuff in ages. As for the names on the hotbars... Its not working coz of the new tooltip, this is somthing I need to take a look at and try and fix it. |

Oks here is the fix for the tooltip it was just a line of code I forgot to put in to replace that horrible new font with a nice simple Arial one.. The other file in the zip is the hotkeys with labels.... Now there is no way to test this in the UI builder its gotta be done in game... So mrenkil this is your job m8 ;) ... If this dont work then I am at a loss as to how to fix it =( You see there is alot more info in the tooltips now .... so what was once just "Tool_Tip" is now probably somthing like "Tool_Tip.Name" , "Tool_Tip.Duration" etc etc .... now this is just an educated guess (yeh yeh I can hear you lot sniggering! oks then an UN-educated guess if you like, lol) So Private mrenkil get your butt into EQ2 and report back to me soon as you have gathered the intelligence report on the status of the hoykeys, on the double quick march, left,right,left,right,right,right(your surposed to hop there lol),left,right,left ...... Oks you get the idea lol :p |
target window and pet window
I haven't read through all 14 pages of posts, but on the ones I have read I didn't see this problem.
Whenever I target anything, the target window shrinks back to the original size, covering up my pet health information. I have locked the window settings and it still happens. any ideas as to what is wrong? In case it matters, I am running at 1600 by 1200. Thanks Ravandail |
i have had the same problem before.
with the target window and i run 1600 by 1200 but here is the zip laffs worked for me, I hope it works for you.
Krylosis Laffs, that did the trick! tool tips are working... hehe thought before it was jsut the name now it's much bigger.hehehe just gotta get used to it. |

Strange I did fix that
In the file called eq2ui_mainhud.xml look for this line <include>eq2ui_mainhud_ammo.xml</include> If its not there just add it in anywhere before the </Page> line |

Seems that the 1280x1024 uisettings are off in the newest update i find i have to relocated several of the pieces on the bottom section, and also the tool tips for all hotbuttons, maintained spell icons, andbags do not display the info they just show a blank box.

I guess I will have to take another look then lol EDIT All working fine for me and thats using the folder and the settings files that i have in the downloads section. Maybe change the font size for the tooltip that could be the problem maybe try 12 - 15 |
Ty, I had to change the zapf fonts in all the inventory and the examine xml's to 15 and they all work now.

Update 1.4 - merchant window bug
Hope not to be double posting in the wrong place - but i can't find my previous post.
Since the update of 5th October the merchant window is locked on the buy window - so no ability to sell, or even repair - even if the npc is only a repairman - such as the refuge island repairman. Apparently the window for the new gambling game appears just black as well. (you must just love updates lol) |
having same problem as tetrol i had to delete the merchant mod. so as to revert back to the default. I am having a problem with the lotto window though, it comes up all black. Thanks oh by the way great UI keep up the awsome work.

Oks thanks guys for the feedback... i have these issues fixed in my other UI now ... so i need to convert the skin etc to add to this one .. tomorrow it will be done ...
By the way you get a black window coz the file has not been included in the UI m8 as yet sorry ... me on it =) |
Quick fix for the merchant problem
I made a quick fix for the merchant problem by simply replacing (after renaming the original so I could get it back) the
eq2ui_inventory_merchant.xml file with the one that was updated yesterday - from the default ui directory. This worked straight away. (and thx for the great ui laffs) |

The target's health percentage shows up, but the bar visualization is gone... I need to see my target's health!

Yes i know it is a few days past /tomorrow .... and sorry but I do have a job to do that actualy pays the bills to do first! ;)
I am on this asap... Maybe the update I put up in the downloads section fixes the problems you have just posted on.... If not then please be patient... I have so much to remember and way too much to do IRL... Running my own buisness etc .. so forgive me if and when I forget what I have and havent done guys, It will be all fixed soon ... couple issues
hiya,
just finished playing the game after i ran the update for Patch 14. Just want to let you know that I love the extra tabs on the journal ). also found a couple issues..most of them cosmetic. A number of the pop up boxes( new quests, rewards, broker, ect) are coming up with a white border and/or a grey background. The health bar on the target is already in the new posting. main problem i am having is the npc traders and mender, when i have more then one tab on the npc(buy sell repair) all the tabs show the buy only...i cant sell or repair. Unfortunately my packs are getting full and and my armor is getting rather tattered ( /e sighs. Understand the time constaints...got one of those jobs that pay the bills also. Thanks for all the hard work on the interface...its wonderful...now if SOE would stop changing the game. Stymia :o |
missing health
the health bar in the main target window is missing, so is the mana bar, but besides that its doing good.

Without looking I know what the problems are your having now... I forgot to change a referances to Laffs style's that I been working on and this UI dont use that... I will edit them tonight and post update for you guys :)

Couple of small items...
My wife brought up her /petition window last night with this UI and noticed that the trouble-report category text was very dark and difficult to read. The window itself is unskinned. Also, if I don't want the UI to show while zoning, is it a simple matter of deleting the eq2ui_hud_zoning.xml file? Since I prefer the original inventory window, deleting the Perdition version restores this, but the coin icons are missing at the bottom of the inventory window (the number of those coins is correctly presented, however) and in the default merchant window as well. Great UI. :) Thank you for all of your effort! |

Yeh delete that zoning file. As for the default windows they should be using the new style now... Wait a few days to see if its SoE that missed somthing out or if I need to add somthing in so to speak lol And thanks for the thanks m8 |

I installed the UI from your most recent upolad (i belive it's for LU 14) i went ingame to test all the windows out and found the merchant window was not working, I went to your laffs lite ui to get the window fix. now, I first installed all 6 of the files for that and i lost my main hud inventory with the equipment slots in it. I deleted, re-installed didn't include that file for LU14 fix, and it's back. do you plan to add in the fixed LU14 files for this ui in the zip? Krylosis PS: i still won't use any other ui, though i've shifted a few of the other windows around (bag and inventory windows) love the work bud! |

Tier 6 Harvest info?
Love this UI Laff, but I noticed that tier 6 harvest info is missing. Any plans on fixing that soon? The other 2 things that slightly bugged me were that if I have me targeted, the font or size of the info about my mit and mana is off, it cuts off the mana max #'s. The 2nd thing is the inventory, while some may like the "streamlined" inventory look, I am sure there are some of us who prefer a reg inventory window. Which file should I delete or replace to fix both of these issues?

Hey Laffs, awesome job on the UI. I've been using it for some time now - shame on me for not thanking you sooner.
I seem to have developed a problem with the broker window (and a few others, I'll compile a list). Everything works, however the "background" is bright yellow. I had to fix this once before, but I can't seem to find it now (I just scanned through 15 pages - arg). I believe the fix was to copy a image file into the images directory, however that's just about the extent of what I remember. Does this ring a bell for anyone? I've been trying to consolidate a list of bugs so that I don't nickel-and-dime you to death, Laffs. :) This is for Alt Perdition only, as I have not tested the other derivatives.
1. Coin icons do not appear in trade window or bank window. They ARE visible in the inventory window. Figured they'd use the same image source, that's odd. 2. The player search feature under the Community tab on the EQII button is semi-functional. You can search by name, but the drop downs are broken. 3. Many people report that their casting bar disappears or that they do not get the custom presets tabs for graphics. This is because the ALT-U player window is reverse the default and most other UI's. e.g. if I switch from Alt Perdition to the default UI, my player window is toggled "off." If I turn it on and switch back to Alt Perdition the casting bar and preset tab are missing. I have to toggle it again to restore them. 4. In 1600 x 1200, the buff bar get's overrun on the right edge when the first row fills up before wrapping to row two. Please see the attached picture to understand what I'm talking about. Thanks again for making such a usable and attractive UI. I know modders get discouraged because the UI changes happen so often it's impossible to stay ahead of them. At the same time, the UI consumers get discouraged because the modders quit or move on to other hobbies and we watch our favorite UI's go unmaintained and abandoned. It's nice to see these continuing to get some TLC. |
