Thought so myself so reinstalled Java first thing but no love. Oh well... it's a rarely used computer anyway... just one of those things that's nagging at me. If anything else occursd to you let me know please, if not, no worries.
|
Just to note: If you have trouble running the .exe, you can always try running the .jar directly, maybe that works. The .exe is mainly there for Vista UAC but otherwise not needed.

If you use Vista or a right limited account with XP it just copied your settings file to your application data location. If it was never accessible before, it copied the default data file, so there were no ignored files set. |
EQ2 error message
I keep getting this message
EQ2.exe not found. Please set your Everquest2 directory in the configuration first ..any ideas on how? |

So is anyone getting a "Cannot Connect" error anymore?
I'm running Vista 64, firewalls off, routers not a problem, I tried the address in the host file, I even tried creating a new zone on my dns server. I can reach updater.pala.de:443 in a browser but the updater will not run. UAC is off, tried forcing it to run as admin still nothing. Any reason Java can't find the address but IE can? |

Connection through browser works. |
Cant connect behaviour
Maybe it will help.
So I get "cant connect" and question if I want edit mine proxy. I press yes, enter something like proxy 80. Then press OK and the application quits. When I run it again, select yes for proxy, the field are empty. Dnnt know, if its feature, or not. |
Just to make sure: Only enter proxy settings if you actually use a proxy. Port 80 would be a very unusual proxy port.

Request:
can you add a "launch new station launcher" |
Once it goes live and replaces launchpad. Actually Station Launcher is designed for starting with Windows and sitting in background.
|
I don't think the launchpad will be replaced, I think the station launcher is the alternative
drago. |
Yes, it will be replaced! You will be assimilated!
|
It will replace Launchpad once it leaves beta stage. Would be pretty stupid to maintain every single game patcher when you just have developed an all-in-one solution :P

Everquest 2 Companion
http://www.eq2interface.com/forums/s...ead.php?t=9030 It manages your UI's through EQ2interface, you pick and choose which interface pieces you want automatically updated through your favorites. It also runs EQ2 automatically (if you choose to), and you can run any external .exe's, how many you choose, including poifinder, profitui updater, etc. (it has its own eq2map updater built in so the current one would be useless) It's in closed beta but hopefully it will be released to the public being either live or open beta. drago. |

I don't see the issue in any case, just make a batch script
start /w eq2map.exe and be done with it. |
Or try using just "ProfitUI Reborn Downloader.exe" in the batch file. Since it is some kind of console program it should wait for the downloader to close even without using start /w

When I enter proxy, program quits without saying hello at least. When I start it again, proxy fields are empty. I thought it 1) should say cannoct conect and ask for proxy again 2) save proxy values BTW Im not using proxy at all. I just tried to experiment and analyse, why I get "cant connect" error. |
