I have a problem with the compagnon window. It does not function any more with the companion of god since last LU :( when I use ALT-P she writes “you do not have a companion” .

Whenever there is an update that shows info about SOE changing the UI I make sure I "reset" everything to the default UI and play until there is an Update, but from what I'm reading here on the forums it looks like Fetish UI is working fine? Is it "safe" to use? I miss it alot!!!! :P

Is Feitsh UI 8.2 pretty much "up to date" with LU31 or will there be an update that I should wait for please?

Every thing seems to be fine besides the the context menu problems from a couple of posts above. On my hotbars i also cannot remove items, i have to drag new ones in.

Question,

I am a wizard and I am getting the strange happening that my spells sometimes are repeating several times after they are executed. They never finish but the indicator sees them execute about 2/3rds and then they repeat up to 4 times before they hit. In the mean time I take damage. This does NOT happen with the default UI. I have deleted and re-installed the UI several times and still its happening. Not always but enough to be anoying and death ever so often...

Any ideas?

I am a warden and when I am soloing and mobs are intrupting my spells when they hit me I'll see the spell start to go off than it stops and starts again because it was interupted. I didn't notice this much until after they took "Fizzles" out of the game. So I don't know if this was always a part of the game or if they changed it to where it happens more often when you get hit after they took fizzles out or what. Maybe you changed your equipment around and now your avoidance/agi/dodge is lower? *Shrugs* I don't know, but I really don't think it could be a UI. I'd be interested to know if it was. Those interupts can be deadly. :(

Ok great I'm going to go start up Fetish again. hehe I have this habit of turning UI's off when there is a patch. I've been missing Feitch bunches.

Well, I don't think those are interupts as if I get interupted in my spells it gives me the interupted message. No this is looks its repeating and repeating and repeating...some command. Am thinking of creating a second casting character to see if its there. I have no problems with my guardian...but then he does not cast any spells :=)). I would be happy if someone can just point me to the file where the spells are executed I would just delete it and replace it...but I do not have any crasp on programming :=)).

They changed the way fizzles and interrupts work in GU30 I think it was.

Somewhere in the options you can change it, but what it is is that if you are interrupted by damage or something like that, it'll immediately try to recast the spell. Default is that it tries to recast 3 times before going to the "Interrupted!" message.

You can change that somewhere in the options... but its not a UI issue.

If you're trying to switch two people... I haven't had problems with that.

IF you're trying to move a person to an open slot... there is a problem. You have to drag them either to a micro area under the first letter of the previous person's name or (the better choice) is drag to underneath the health/power bar. That should work.

Thank you Loadebon. I try it again. When I tried before, I can't switch two members. And I can't move member to open aria. I can drag member,but can't change menbers.

I have has the exact same problem the last 2 night on raids i can not swap players between groups but can put them into and empty slot

I had the same problem until I figured out that they moved the context window to change the hotbar settings. What you have to do now is R-Click at the outer most edge of the hotbar to be able to bring up the context menu and ultimately the new hotbar settings window. I found it by accident myself as there is only a very small area at the edge of the hotbar where you can bring up the menu. You can no longer click anywhere on the hotbar itself to enable this menu.

THe last update caused a problem for me using Fetish, when I right click on a hot bar to bring up a menu, the menu doesnt show. I hosted a EQ LAN party at my house the other night, and all 4 machines were using Fetish 8.2 were having this problem so I think its safe to assume something in the last update broke the hotbar menu options.

Is anyone else having this problem?

They changed the way that the hotbar context menu works. Did you try the instructions posted above your post yet?

Hi... Achievement window needs update I think.. eerrmm or is it me.. Using Fetishnightfall 8.2

Just wanted to give yal a heads up. I'm swamped with work ATM and am not sure when I'll have time to post the next update. I am aware of the following minor issues to be addressed in the next update, none of which are game breaking:

1) Acheavment Merchant window needs updating (delete the current file for now).
2) Broker window needs level added (we lived without it for 3 years, a bit longer wont kill anyone).
3) Hotbar frame sizing fix needs to be applied (instruction already posted).

A UI update has been posted to the test server. I will try to include the above tweaks once that update goes live.

Note: The changes on test include the customizable bag changes I recomended to SOE ;)

Also looks like they finished the embeded browser update :D

I have found an issue with Fetish and chat channels. I have tried to explain this to friends, and a lot of them couldn't figure out what I was talking about. So I hope I can explain this clearly enough...

I want to join a chat channel and have it go only to a separate window or tab in my chat window. I join the channel, click the window/tab I want it to go to, chat options, and set the channel to go to that window/tab. Then I remove the channel from my main window, so it is only going to the separate window/tab.

However... The moment I log out and come back, the chat channel is once again going to my main window (as well as the window/tab I want it in, so in 2 windows). If I try to once again remove it from the main window, it LEAVES the chat channel COMPLETELY (including removing it from the window/tab where it's supposed to be).

In order to get it working right I have to re-do these settings EVERY time I log in.

I am certain this is an issue with Fetish because I have now disabled the main chat window and chat options feature of Fetish to revert to the default UI. With the default UI I have my channels set to go to a separate window/tab, and when I log out and come back, they are still in the right window/tab, and haven't reverted back to being in my main chat window again.

Odd, I don't have seam to have this issue. Level chat and custom channels are filtering to a seperate tab just fine on my end.

It would help me isolate the problem if you tried the following and posted your results...

1) Try disabeling the Fetish version of Chat Options but keep the MainChat window. See if that solves the prob.

2) Try the oposite, disable Fetish MainChat but keep the Chat Options.

Okay I will give this a try tomorrow. Just making one last check of forums before I go to bed, now. I'll let you know how it goes.

Okay... I am now just totally 100% completely perplexed...

I enabled the Fetish version of the chat options window and logged in, played with it, and it was working how it was supposed to...

I logged out completely to the desktop, enabled the Fetish version of the main chat window, and logged in... I was sure by this point that it must be the chat window that was causing the problems... But when I got back in-game it was working as it was supposed to.

Now I'm just confused, I'm not sure what was going on originally. I have not made ANY changes to my files, except for renaming the files themselves (Adding DISABLE_) to the start of the file name to disable them.

The only thing I can think of is that after reverting back to the default UI version of the chat windows, and setting my channels the way I wanted them, when I went back to the Fetish version somehow something was "fixed" so that it was working the way it's intended.

I did test this by joining an entirely new chat channel, setting it to show only in one chat window, logging out and coming back and testing to see if it was going to the main chat window. It remained in the chat window where it was supposed to be, and wasn't showing up in the main chat.

One thing I just thought about is that I did not leave all of my channels and try to re-set them and see if they worked right. So no idea if maybe, somehow, because i was already in a few channels, the new channel I used to test this kept the same settings. *shrugs*

Oh and one last thing I remembered... I also switched to using the Basic Chat file that you include with the download. The default one that comes up when initially installing Fetish is bugged so that the chat overlaps where i type in my text entry.
