You will be receiving 2 files that will be placed in your user_settings directory. THey are aucp_Notes.xml and aucp_QuickCharSwitch.xml. These two files will replace the files in user_settings\Notes and user_settings\QuickLog here very soon and the old files will become foreign files. So if you have made adjustments to these files, you may want to copy their contents to the new ones before deleting them.

Achievement experience
 

First i want to say i love this UI. Great Job guys. When i hit "L" to bring up the achievement progression and advancement window the screen for the achievement choices is not there.
I still love the UI and the map updater its great.

It's there, you prob have an old version of that file on your drive. That file isn't a modified file so the updater will not replace is. Look advanced settings under foreign files and make sure you don't have any self modded files listed there.

ok, i installed the interface, it works beautifully, but whenever i click the eXtreme control panel link on my desktop, it doesn't show up, i did everything i knew how, but the control panel won't show up. Do you know how I can fix this?

Did you make a shortcut from the start Menu to the desktop? Reason I ask is because it shouldn't be adding an icon to the desktop. Any ways, make sure its not minimized, look over by your clock for it to be in that try and just double click the icon. If its not there try starting it from start->program files->eXtreme. If that fails go to the eXtreme ui directory and run it from there, eXtremeUI_CP.exe.

A question about the foreign files. Should these be deleted?? I got a big list of foreign files. It looks like alot of them are the info pages for like the class spells and what-not for the "info" button. Which I might add is AWESOME. :D :D :D

Is there a way to set the health HUD to default to being off? (I do not use it) Can I just delete the UI file for it?

2 bugs I've noticed the other day.
- The volume button does not toggle back on.
- The submit bug button in the /bug screen is not active.

Yes you can always delete any foreign files it finds. The server has a mirror copy of the default eXtremeUI and its file tree. It uses that info to create the foreign file list. So unless you have dropped in a mod or modded a file your self it is safe to delete all foreign files. Also If are not sure about deleting any of the files you can awlays use the move button. If it brakes a mod you added you can move it back.

If you have or ever do add in a mod be sure to add it's file to the exclude list. Doing this will stop the AU from updating that file and it will exclude said file(s) from the foreign file list.

The loot window when loot options are set to leader only is bugged (and has been for a long time, actually). The problem is that the "Assign" button used to give an item to the person selected from the drop-down menu is always grayed out, preventing anything from being looted at all. The drop-down menu, itself, appears to be working correctly.

The loot window is default so any bugs in it is a SOE issue or you have a old/modified verstion of it in the extreme folder. Check your foreign file list and delete or move it.

I am still getting an error when I try to open my CP , says

I get this everytime, so therefor I am not getting any patches if there are any heh

Would i be able to use "Aaelen's Complete EXP Bar" with extreme? it the only thing id change in the ui. Thanks.

Why, all of this information is available just by clicking a little button next to the current EXP bar.

Your verstion of eXtremeUI_CP.exe is old and has a bug in it that stops it from shoting down to be patcher. You need to delete that file and download the new install and run that to get the good current copy.

Or you can try renaming eXtremeUI_CP.tmp to eXtremeUI_CP.exe and see if that works.

Settings tab, press the advanced option button and then set up you char with the correct res settings.

It doesn't appear that your using the eq2ui_mainhud.xml

Do you have another file with these includes?

I'm playing with the mapspoiler window and having some issues :)
I'm just wondering what would happen if I include the mainhud to the ui if it will break the ui..

Adding a mainhud will not break it but SOE changes the includes in this allot and that's why I don't include a modified mainhud in the eXtreme.

The map spoiler isn't part of the EQ2MAP project so I can't help you with that. If it modifies the mainhud.xml, it'll be prone to breaking with each live update.

Ya the spoiler is an add-on and a work in progress (its neat and looks like it can be quite the timer saver) :)

I got it going with the mainhud but I'll have to find a way to see if I can get the required <include> line into something else so I don't have to fix something I can't :)

If you will look in the eq2ui_mainhud_maintained.xml you will see that I use that page as my extra window include page. Feel free to add it there and don't for get to add that page to the exclude list if you do.

Foreign Files?
 

Great UI!

I have a list of 104 files that the CP says is foreign.

I have attached them in the zip folder.

Why are these foreign?
I have not changed any of them other than the protected couple.

They are foreign because the location of the infocenter folder was changed in order to keep it updated easier.

So it's just seeing the old infocenter files. It's save to delete them, it's safe to delete any file the CP list as foreign.

Hi there,

I just installed the interface with the autoupdater, and have 3 problems:

1) in the journal, there is no enchanced info, ie lore/writs etc..

2) the interface as a whole is a mess and basically looks nothing like the screenshots lol.. i'm sure there is something I'm doing wrong, but I'm not sure what! As i've said, all i did was download/run/install the installer and auto updater. (edit: i've gone to settings/advanced and selected a char and a resolution, but it changes nothing.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

/shrug works for the other 200+ people using the UI, I guess ur just unlucky.
