I'm working on the self-click-to-cures. For some reason the first time I tried it, it didn't work at all. But it's on "the list". I don't actually support a "start panel" although I'm kinda working one it as a over-arching background project.
Considering the speed at which my updates are coming anymore, however you'd probably be much better off finding someone else's start panel that you like. |
Mothers target Window TankFinder Radio Button
Okay I have looked and looked high and low...and even in the pictures you posted on these forums I cannot find the "Radio Button" to the right of the Group members HP display......I have the macro created that is given in the download page but it only targets me. Which leads me to believe the player character is the default target unless the TankFinder radio button is selected .. but again I cannot findthe radio Button.
Is it really there...becuase I have not been able to get this functionality to work. I have tried all three Mother targettting files incase in one or the other this functionality was turned off. |

Any way I can include a /say or /raidsay command in the code after the timer expires on the countdown timer window?

I'm looking into adding the /say or /raidsay. Heck, I even spoke with a dev to make sure that it's legal and he says it is.
At the same time, I'm adding several optimizations that will hopefully shrink the code for the window. And, it appears that they're changing some things for GU29 that will break all windows anyhow, so don't expect a release before then. But hopefully, I can get all the functional changes I want set up before GU29 and then just fix whatever they break and have a release shortly after. (Along with my 15 other UI pieces... ) No promises, however! I do most of my interface coding at work, so if I'm suddenly busy there it could be a while. |
Can't work with Automap & Profit 2.8.2
I am using Profit 2.8.2 with the eq2-updater map 1.0.6.
UI works fine - map is great, but I don't know how to get the spoiler to work Profit & the auto-map Advise please ?? |
I installed it with ProfitUI II 3.0sp1. I don't get a black screen. What I do get is a normal looking window backgroud but that is it.

I am in the process of updating all my mods to support GU 29. It's not nearly as much fun as playing, so I appreciate your patience.
The more critical I find a piece, the sooner it'll be done. |
If there's a vote, the spoiler is mine for top priority. ;-) Haven't been able to get it to display sicne the patch.

Ok, I should amend it to say interfaces will be done in the order of how much their absence annoys me and how much work is required to get them going.
I found an old copy of the script that made the XML code for the spoiler, but it doesn't work. Now I'm suffering from what all coders who don't use comments suffer from occasionally - an attack of "WTH was I thinking? What did that do? How did the whole thing work?" If I wasn't already a bald man, I'd be pulling my hair out. So don't be surprised if a few mods that only need small tweaks get done first. |

Any ideas when the Spoiler Project will be updated? it stopped working even in old world zones after LU29

I'm aware that the spoiler does not work at all. There is no ETA as I don't know whats' wrong with it. I haven't even looked at it all weekend. I generally only do an UI work when things are going slow at my work office, so I shall resume debugging tomorrow.
The mail window has been in need of an facelift for a while. I've had something about half-hammered out for about a month. Expect a full update in the near future. |
tradeskill window scroll bar
I have to say that I love the tradeskill window you've done. I replaced the vert UI window with it, but i don't have a scroll bar on the recipe menu now. Any advice on how to get that to show up?

Hope its easy enough to update the spoiler, standing around manually looking at all the POI's keeps getting me killed hehe.

I'm pleased to announce that most of my mods are now GU29 compliant. I believe that everything that was in working order before is once again. The things that needed updating before still do (like the mail window) - but without the stigma of having newly broken items, I can go back and get them knocked out!

I just found out about the Map Spoiler, and it looks like something that will add to my game.
I have found one bug though when it used with Fetish Nightfall. In fetish there is an arrow on the bar of all the windows so that you can minimize to just the title bar, that works on the spoiler window, but the arrow to return the window to full size does not work on the Spoiler window. I am hoping that the functionality will be back the next time I run EQ2 or that by reinstalling spoiler that it will bring it back. |
Map Spoiler Request
I love this mod first and foremost. But I have a request...
Is there way to have the spoiler NOT open automatically when the Map is opened up? I would rather chose when I want spoiler open instead of it automatically opening everytime I reopen the map. I know I can simply click th emin or close button, but that is extra clicking. Just a request for my own personal tastes. If you want, just tell where in the code it is telling it to auto open on Map open and I can alter it for my suit. Thank you for a wonderful, useful mod!!! -dn |

I can't find this file in the .zip, and don't already have one for my UI. Any chance you could just post what the contents should be here? Many thanks!

Works for all but EoF maps
For some reason, the spoiler works perfect for all maps BUT the new EoF maps!
On my other machine, the Spoiler works for EoF maps, but I get NOT icons/dots on the EQ2map. This machine, I have the icons/poi dots, but the spoiler (even after closing and reopening the map) remains blank. Any suggs? Do I need to uininstall and re-install EQ2Map maybe? |

Man I love this mod!!! Ok, I had to reinstall EQ2map and reinstall the Spoiler. Once I did, it works PERFECT! :nana:

Minor Bug
Feature request Map Spoiler:
Would be great if i could hide the background with the opto. slider, so only the entries are visible like MaddBombers Tracking window (an depend on opto on mouse over it shows scrollbar. Thanks Cyber |
Group window query
Have installed a variety of Mother's interfaces and all are working great (a big thanks Mother), except my group window. My health and power bars are correct but the percentages always show 0%. When I mouse over, the correct percentages are available.
I'm assuming that since nobody else has reported this error, it must either be one of my UI settings or a conflicting UI mod. Any suggestions would be greatfully received. Thanks |

OK here's my issue, the only mod that I had to install was EQ2maps, otherwise I use a bag mod and a persona/inspect mod, both of which I just had to manually put in the UI folder. I've done what the installing notes said but everytime I try to load EQ2, the game itself patches my eq2ui_mainhud.xml file and I'm stuck with a black box. Any ideas?

Yes, read the FAQ (you are installing/editing in the wrong folder).

Note on using the timer:
If you use the eq2ui_mainHUD_example.xml Mother provides (put it in your custom UI folder and rename to eq2ui_mainHUD.xml per instructions), you will lose function of your achievement and guild heraldry selection windows - they'll pop up, but you won't be able to do much of anything with them. To correct this, add these lines to the eq2ui_mainHUD.xml file: Code:

I've been noticing some errors in my ui.log file lately and have tracked a couple down to the eq2ui_journals.xml file that comes with the InfoCenter. Mind you, these errors do not negatively effect my gameplay so they really aren't a big deal but it would be nice if I could elliminate them anyways.

I think you posted in the wrong thread unless mother has released an infocenter as well -- I assume you're talking about Milquetowst' (DBurgdorf's) mod? The additional includes are for other mods from Darryl. You can leave them in or remove them, both is fine. :)
The last error shows that one of your files has got a closing tag </> without an opening tag <>, i.e. incorrect XML structure. |

Thanks for the response. I'll try to find the culprit of the missing tag. Funny thing is that I have the same mods installed on 2 computers and only one has that particular error line.
