This had been noted as being fixed a few posts up, and I'm sorry for not releasing the fix sooner :) I "will" be releasing an update before the expansion, aiming for tomorrow or Sunday. |

I've been using profit UI for ages, but you work here is just awesome, and I can't wait for the new release and the .ini files so I can get all windows up.. Not sure what I did, but I have tried to install this 3-4 times now, and still without luck :( |
New release: Version 1.2
- Statbar options, player window cure options, and group/raid checkboxes now appropriately update when switching characters! - Effects/detrimental effects window now handle icon sizes better and automatically adjust when switching characters - Group window now comes stock WITHOUT pet health bars showing (Pet version available in /Alternatives/ folder) - Player window style updated to match group window (original version available in /Alternatives/ folder) - Examine window's text names (Items/Spells/Harvests/etc) can be clicked on to search the broker when it's open (remember to reset any search filters if you set any while searching) - Examined items now have a "LootDB" button - A few small spacing/text fixes for other languages (more to come as I catch them) - Journal window's "Expand/collapse all" button no longer slightly overlaps the drop down list on each of the quest tabs - New: Compass with zone region name displayed; re-size window vertically to hide/show text; window re-sizable horizontally as normal - New: Mail window that's styled like the other DrumsUI compacted windows; window now also re-sizable Also included are a few layout files (3 resolutions): DrumsUI_1280x1024_layout.xml DrumsUI_1440x900_layout.xml DrumsUI_1680x1050_layout.xml Copy and re-name any of these and rename them to match your character (serverName_characterName_eq2_uisettings.xml) ie: Blackburrow_Drumstixx_eq2_uisettings.xml Player/compass windows (didn't get a mail screenie): ![]() Up-coming changes/additions: - Tracking window - Broker window filter dropdown(s) and quick buttons - Multi-tabbed browser (possibly with configurable favorites) - More curing configurations - Ability to modify text options in-game AND have them save Custom text saving may be made possible very soon here. I've been testing some code with the help/direction of gm9. By hijacking the Add POI window, we can save custom options to a "fake map" and use those POIs as text options :D |

if youre not familiar with /load_uisettings: 1. copy the files into your main eq2 directory where you can find your other UI Settings files and your everquest2.exe 2. backup your current UI Settings file to a save place or simply rename or make a copy of it. 3. in-game type in chat /load_uisettings and select the resolution file you want 4. make some last window movings to fit your needs 5. have fun ;) |

The player window's cure graphics are showing as the old size, and will look off. I had this fixed, but missed putting it into the zip.
Attached is the updated XML. Will be in the next zip in the next few days.:o |
Downloaded, installed and windows almost set..
I LOVE IT :nana: Thanks again |
Tradeskill Repeat Box?
Hello. I'm looking for a new UI that has a feature that will allow me to check a box to auto repeat or even some advanced option of entering the number of items I'd like to make. I have yet to download your UI but did not see any mention of this feature. DeadBeats (no longer supported) used to have this feature allowing me to bypass those steps of hitting enter or clicking repeat/create buttons. It may not seem like a big deal but when you are filling large orders as a tradeskiller it is something of an annoyance. Thanks for reading.

Currently there's no features for setting an amount of "auto-repeats" or any "auto-repeat" option. I can look into it, but it seems like it could be a not-so-great way of accidentally wasting some components. However, if you hide the recipe list while crafting, you can simply hit enter repeat the process, and it also skips the "components" window going straight back to the creation process. When the recipe list is hidden, the tradeskill hotkeys will remain in focus. I know it still requires interaction, but I don't plan on adding anything automation-wise to the tradeskill window currently. The window is already very annoying to work with and a lot of hardcoded parts make it worse! I'll keep it in consideration though while making any updates to the window in the future. -Drum |

I must say I am very pleased with it, and I hope you will never stop keeping it up to date :D |

This is how I have set it, I still need to set my hotbars, but this is the result as it will look like when I am set..
I changed the raiding window out for another, but other than that, its all you.. Thanks for it yet another time.. Resolution is: 2048x1152 and I'm running it in window mode on a 23" screen, so its very nice to look at imo.. Attachment 7109 |
Looking good :)
Glad you got everything up and running ! |
Love the UI and it is very clean. I was wondering if you plan on adding quick buttons to the group/raid window similar to the Profit UI. This would facilitate healers and casters alike in casting a Heal/buff to a person out of group or in group without having to switch targets or make multiple macros.

I plan on adding quick cast buttons to both windows, yes. I also plan to make them editable from within the game so that everyone can setup their spells exactly how they want them to be. Cheers! |
Hiya Drummers this is Adek from eq1:) Been using your interface for some time now and I really like it. Will you have this UI updated and ready to go for the new exp? On early launch day. Still wish Justadreamer would come to eq2 I really miss her and all of the good times in eq1. just cant see going back to it again. been spoiled by eq2.;)

Indeed the UI will be ready for the expansion on the early launch date. I have a physical copy pre-ordered and will be wanting to play the minute the servers come up :) |

This is GREAT news indeed.. Is it something you are workingo n atm, or is it a more futuristic plan ? :D No matter what, I can't wait to see it.. |
On a side note :o
Have you considered an autoupdater for your this ? I am pretty sure that already now you have found your way into many computers, and will find even more + making it easier for everyone, if you can make it that easy to update :) |
lol yes an autoupdater would be great and i cant wait for the quick cast buttons
your UI is getting better all the time and once the buttons are done ill be moveing over to it 100% but at moment as a healer the profit buttons are a must or have i just been spoilt by a good ui mod lol either way cant wait and have you got a trime scale when it may be out :p Belamir 80 Defiler Splitpaw |
I'm actually hoping to have the click buttons out with the expansion. It may or may not happen. The one thing I don't wanna do is sacrifice any features, and currently it's possible with the in-game editable text, that users wouldn't be able to submit map POIs, and with a new expansion coming up.... well that would be no good.
Worse comes to worse, I'll use presets and a text file for users to edit. As far as an updater, this is something that I would love to make available. However, I have no idea where to start on something like this! Perhaps I can do some research on it. :) |

Kaldran's updater (i.e. the ProfitUI updater) is open source and available for other UI's, just ask him about it. And I'm not coming back, don't make other UI authors feel bad by asking for it in their threads please. :)

Any possibility of getting the target/implied target windows to match the new player frame style?

May have squashed the con_vesion1 weirdness bug as well. And I'll see if I can talk to Kaldran! about it. Thanks gm9. Cheers. |
I said Kaldran, I'm sure I did. :p

LOL ... Nice one :p

Compliments to the Chef
Drumstix, Want to give my initial props on the full UI. I've been using a good number of your pieces for a long time and I believe you and I have traded coding in the past. Since I'm mostly using yours now I guess I don't have to code myself anymore :) Great work with all of your pieces and I look forward to seeing how it evolves. I even decided to shif off my target stat bar I have been using since '05.
Minor cosmetic errors, however with the Persona window. The factions bars are too wide for the window and thus the very right side of the bar is cut off. This happens regardless of if the list has a scroll bar or not. My guild window also has a bug in that I can view and edit the ranks on the Ranks tab (I'm leader), but on the Bank Settings tab no name show up in m list of ranks. I can however, click the "invisible" names and options correctly show for the rank I have selected. As far as future upgrades/mods... you mentioned you were working on a tracking window. I love and have used MaddBomber's tracking window (http://www.eq2interface.com/download...fo.php?id=4185). It's about as compacted as you could hope to get, but looks good if the background is made clear. I generally leave it open whenever adventuring (and sort it so named are on top... never know who's in the area and needs killing). Thanks again for your hard work and support as GU's are released. Keep up the fine work. |

Thanks for all the feedback Valdacil. I saw the guild window issue last night and will fix up the other ones as well. Tracking window will be released with the next update for sure.

I've completed testing of being able to save custom text in-game through the AddPoi window (modified). It plays nice with the default method of adding custom POI's so users will still be able to submit POIs and save their own while using the DrumsUI.
Look forward to this with the next release. Cheers! |
Hmm, I changed over yesterday. I like most everything about this UI EXCEPT that Ding-nabbed, ghosh dinged, Cr#*py Market window. I tried really hard to abscond with ProfitUI's market window but couldn't make it work right so had to go back to the std.
Why, why, why do you think I want to have to switch windows constantly in order to put items up for sale? Currently, I put something in the sale window, highlight it and Search Broker. What do I get? I get booted to the Buy side of the broker window to look at prices. In order to set my price I have to tab back to the Sell side, thus losing my look at the Buy broker side. This SUX big time. Bar that issue, I'll keep it as Profit is no longer being maintained by the guy that dreamed it up. I dun like that; it's sorta like owning a car when the dealer goes out of business. |

That's a pretty good rant there mate. The window is modified upon the base default UI and hasn't seen any changes to reworking the tabs. However, there's been more than 1 request to update the Broker window and I've already replied that it's being updated with the next release :) However, until then, you should still be able to use the ProfitUI broker standalone download from this page here: http://www.eq2interface.com/download...ketWindow.html Cheers! |
I thanks ya for the link; DLed it immediately. I am very glad to hear that you're looking into this window. Bar that little item your interface is looking very good indeed. :nana::D

Well, I'm glad to turn those unhappy smilies into happy ones ;)
I think many will be pleased with the UI update! |
Auto attack bar dissapearing
Mr Drumstix, please allow me to thank you for this great and easy to use UI. I have it running perfectly on my computer except for one problem that is kind of annoying.
When I first installed the UI everything showed up fine. I moved a few windows around to accommodate my tastes. I put my auto attack bar below the health bar in the middle of the screen. In plain sight, never covered up by my hotkeys. After a few times of logging in and out of the game I noticed that the auto attack bar stopped showing up while i was fighting. I thought that i had done something wrong so I tried pressing F10, moving all my windows around to find it while I was in combat. I tried reinstalling the auto attack only into the drums ui folder to no avail. Finally I had to completely remove the UI and reinstall it fresh for the auto attack bar to show up again in combat. I was very happy with myself until I logged in today and found that when I attacked anything it was no where to be found. Any assistance on this issue would be greatly appreciated. -Lettles EDIT: I also noticed that none of the options windows pop up now IE Cure options, the menu screen for your UI etc. They did before and now when i left click them nothing happens. |
Quote:
That's strange that your options windows aren't showing up. I'm not sure why the auto-attack window would work and then not working later. Are you installing any other mods along with this one? |
I had profit beforehand but i completed removed it from my eq2 folder. Even deleted the old character ui settings associated with it. I am going to try another reinstall of the UI and see if it will fix itself.
edit: I just installed drums again and the auto attack bar is not there, i dont think its your UI. I think its something on my side that is causing a conflict. edit: Found the conflict! It was an old file from profit that i forgot to delete. Sorry for the confusion :) |
Glad you got everything sorted out
